Home Office for Webcam Models Home Office for Webcam Models The webcam entertainment industry has always played a pioneering role in the introduction of new digital technologies. Ever higher bandwidths made it possible to bring live video streaming to home computers. This was followed by ever faster networks that also enable loss-free high-resolution streams up to a point, where mobile consumption of this content is possible. This was accompanied by improvements in the camera modules as such up to the currently used 4K resolution This is the new standard. In front of the camera, this also had an enormous impact. Better lighting was required to make a significant difference in the quality of the image. Home Office for Webcam Models All this technology is getting better, but also smaller and more mobile. A webcam room can basically be anywhere and within minutes, it can be set up. This allows streaming from the studio or while traveling. With this, you can achieve even more customer loyalty. In terms of content. One can create a higher spectrum of authenticity in variable locations. This increases customer engagement and loyalty. These are huge advantages for models, as they are no longer tied to one place for their work. In a way, they can do Home Office. The end of studios? If you can stream mobile from anywhere, do we still need studios? Not only models benefit from more mobility. For studios there is more flexibility in the allocation plan of the rooms in the studio and capacities can be flexibly expanded. In addition, you are no longer tied to one location when choosing models. Virtually, you can recruit them from all around the globe. Hence, you don’t have to follow the motto, the bigger the city, the more choice of models anymore. This is the era of virtual studios. The competition will drive Quality A logical consequence of all of this is an increase in competition for the best models. Do you have to be afraid of that as a studio? From my own experience with virtual studios, I can clearly say that there is no need to be afraid. On the contrary. While some models opt for complete independence, others will continue to enjoy the convenience of collaborating with a studio. However, you will have to approach and manage it differently than you are used to. My studio. My football club. As said before, the demand for top models will increase. As with a football club, where superstar players ensure the success of the club, supermodels are a guarantee for the success of a studio. But the studio itself is also required to create the appropriate framework conditions so those top models can choose a studio. In addition to the services offered around the general cooperation, the targeted investment in the training of talent is a very important point. Here you must act as a coach either yourself or book professional model training. As a studio, this gives you the best chance to benefit immediately from the development of young talent and virtual collaboration also keeps costs under control. Simply said, develop your own next supermodels. This will be a key priority to guarantee your success in the long run as it forms a strong bond between you and the model. The future today? At MG Studio, we’re currently working with a hybrid model to test how to work best with a virtual studio setup. Our physical studio in Prague is used now as a training center. It allows models to learn from the best in their field and work remotely independently from our studio location. We have already learned a lot here and are very satisfied so far. In the long term, we’ll see how this model evolves further. But already today I am firmly convinced that virtual studios will be the future of our industry. Home office for everyone. CamLife Magazine Available In Print Get our App on the Apple Store Get our app Out Now! Founder Spotlight Evelina Cirlan Evelina Cirlan is the Founder and CEO of Models4Models. A former web model herself, she worked in a key role at Bucharest Summit before founding models for Models4Models. We consider her a good friend and a supporter of CamLife. Her professional career is a truly inspirational story of bootstrapping her way to the top. In the past 15 years, Evelina has gone from model to studio manager to business developer for ProAvc Group, to event manager of the Bucharest Summit, all before launching her own Bucharest-based webcam studio, Models4Models. “I’ve always had a passion for organizing things,” she explains. “I made my place in the industry, I worked as general manager for several years for another studio and I was the main organizer of the Bucharest Summit, the most prestigious event in the industry, in our country.” From there, the energetic entrepreneur knew it was time to do something big – launch her own cam studio! “I started Models4Models because I felt the need for a major leap in my career,” Evalina says on her site. “I wanted to bring a feminine and elegant touch to an industry where management is often masculine.” The results? One of the most successful and well-respected cam studios in the world, a source of pride for not just Cirlan, but Romania as well. Models4Models, as the name suggests, was truly built with models in mind. The company in many ways reflects the personality of its founder in its core principles – strength and independence mixed with a seductive feminine softness and vulnerability that supports women and inspires them to grow and develop. Being so close to the models over 15 years Evelina could see what their needs were, what they wanted from the studio, how things could be changed to keep the models happy and productive and help everyone grow. The studio manager, the head of training, the whole training team, the photographer, and the HR are all former models and bring their experience and ideas to help their models thrive and feel empowered. She also found having them gave her other unexpected advantages. “Working with women only can bring a lot of advantages,” she tells CamLife founder Bender Cain in an exclusive interview. “Soft skills and emotional intelligence may prove a key competitive advantage for women in business. We bring more self-awareness, empathy, adaptability and the teamwork spirit is stronger.” “Some call us feminists. Some call us pioneers,” Evelina said in a recent interview for the Live Cam Awards. For what it’s worth, we strive for change and empowerment.” Models4Models won the CamLife Magazine 2020 Community Executive Awards for Studio of the Year. She’s also had the honor of being featured on the cover of our business edition. CamBased: The New Kid On The Block CamBased: The New Kid On The Block If there’s one thing that the webcamming world doesn’t see too often, it’s game-changers. Most sites that work the cam world tend to have a fairly similar structure, with many even pooling viewers to help models get better revenues. It’s a classic business model that tends to work well. But, things are starting to change in the world of webcamming. Anecdotal evidence suggests that the average wages of a webcam model have been decreasing every year. Performing for tips alone might mean that models go through an entire shift without earning a single penny. Most new cam models stop modeling after three months, feeling disillusioned with the industry and how its payouts work. Moreover, camming is fairly emotionally taxing work. Without the ability to make a decent living and still having to deal with the emotional aspect of the job, it’s fairly certain that cam modeling might see a decline. Clearly, something has to change. That’s where CamBased is coming in. CamBased is looking to shake things up by maximizing a model’s profits and giving models the supportive community they need to succeed and stay happy. And, they’re doing it by offering a multi-faceted approach to the biggest problems that plague the community: ● Better payouts. The lowest split of any content sales through the site will be 70%. ● A customized modeling site. Each account page will have a full Facebook-like site devoted to each model’s content, blog posts, and desired gifts. ● Custom eCommerce stores. Models will be able to sell their own goods or ask for gifts from fans using their state-of-the-art platform. ● Analytics. Models can see the hard numbers behind their performances, learn when their most profitable times are, and even find out who their best clients are. ● Subscription and social media management. The platform shaves off time from models’ workloads by making it possible to update all their social media and cam accounts as they see fit. Amazingly, those approaches aren’t the only ways they’re tackling the problems models face. As the company continues to develop its fledgling site, more features will continue to get rolled out that will help benefit other adult industry companies and individual models. If you really think about it, this was bound to happen. The camming industry was in desperate need of new ways to enhance the experience for both models and users alike. It’s the wave of the future, and for cam models, the future’s looking very bright. By Ossiana Tepfenhart CamLife Magazine Get Your copy in print or on our app now! CamLife Magazine Available In Print Get our App on the Apple Store Get our app Coming soon for Android CamLife Professional Life Hacks Six Professional Life Hacks These game-changing hacks will simplify life & and your schedule Time management is a superpower We all know those supper chared individuals that somehow manage to achieve a level of Super-powered success while others struggle just to make till the end of the day. When you see these seemingly super-powered individuals achieve a level of unimaginable success, it’s not because they were bitten by a Radioactive Spider, or struck by lightning in a lab accident. It’s because somehow they’ve figured out how to utilize those hours in a way that is more effective and more productive, and allows for compounding results. Whether your goal is to take your career to the next level or to just have more control over your personal schedule, these are the 10 life hacks you need to implement in your daily routine: 1. Set alarms for everything. This is Something I Live by as someone who wears many hats father, spouse, all, besides, running multiple businesses, etc. Alarms are one of the best tools your smartphone has. I use alarms for everything from when I wake up to my morning meditation, going to the gym, following up with leads, family events even checking Twitter and Facebook. Success tends to be the result of being able to manage more with less–meaning you can handle 10x the responsibilities of most people, but with the same (or even less) effort. This goes back to the idea of working smart, not hard… So, with an increase in responsibilities, you can’t expect yourself to remember everything. It’s a waste of brainpower. Just set reminders and show up when you need to. It’s that easy. 2. If someone wants to schedule a call, Video chat, or meeting send a Google calendar invite. Building on the practice we have already set up above, if someone emails you requesting a call, meeting video conference or if you email someone to schedule a call–always, always, always send a Google invite. Not only does this ensure you don’t forget, but it ensures the other person won’t forget either. And more than that, it shows you’re on top of your game. You’re organized, and you’re going to be there when you say you’re going to be there. 3. Stack your activities together–don’t bounce between different tasks. If you have a ton of calls this week. See if you can move them all to one afternoon, back to back to back. Do you have a bunch of articles or written content to complete? Look I have learned over the past two years of writing for CamLIfe Magazine to Knock it out of the way say I have fore articles to finish than ill knock them out, put them in pox for our editor his team so I’m not holding them up. Do you have a bunch of video editing to do? Do it all in the morning, instead of doing some now and then some later. Do you need to think through a big pitch for a potential client? Block off an evening to focus on that and only that. Another great tool that will help you and your whole team to better manage time By performing related tasks one after the other, you’re able to move at a faster pace. The reason is that you get into a grove for that one specific type of activity. Whereas, if you have a call, then try to edit a video for 40 minutes, then respond to two emails, and then hop on another call, by the time it’s 2 p.m. you’re a zombie just barely able drag through the rest of your day. 4. Don’t start your day by answering emails. Start with your hardest tasks. Most entrepreneurs that live by this golden rule. When you start your day by checking your inbox, you immediately put yourself in a reactive state. You’re reacting to the day, to other people’s requests, instead of setting out to get done what you know you need to get done, first. instead, start off with a tough task. Work through the hard stuff earlier on, and save the mind-numbing email tasks for lunch or later in the day. But don’t waste those precious morning hours responding to other people’s requests. They can wait. (And that’s not out of disrespect–just an awareness of protecting your time.) 5. Schedule time to relax Having your day jam-packed with commitments from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. is not realistic. And it’s also not sustainable. I start my day with a morning meditation before the gym I also make time for a Midday Meditation some days I will even schedule in a matinee at the theater with my 8-year-old to decompress and start fresh killing two birds with one stone. I also a big proponent of Scheduling power naps or just take the time to step away from your workload leave the laptop behind go have a quick bite or cup of coffee with your spouse or a friend. I will often just go on a 20 min walk with my daughter and the dogs when a come back I to where I left off my mind is clear and I have a second wind. A better long-term model (to ensure you don’t burn out, crash, and then spend a week recovering) is to deliberately schedule a time to relax. If you have called all morning, give yourself an hour to go grab lunch uninterrupted. If you have a crazy week, spend your weekend doing something to recharge. Laddering up in life means playing the long game 6. Delegate as much as possible. If you value an hour of your time at X, then anything below that cost, outsource. Delegation is one of the only ways you can really scale your time. And a lot of people
CamLife Magazine Available In Print Get our App on the Apple Store Get our app Coming soon for Android Why a company should invest in Social Media marketing No doubt that Facebook (2.38 billion users), Instagram (1 billion users), Reddit (330 million active monthly users) and Twitter (126 million active DAILY users) have conquered the cyberspace with a great presence in our daily lives. Those very famous platforms represent a huge communication tool that combines entertainment and information. At the crossroad between private life, family and friends circles but also work and global social questions, social media consumption has caused a significant impact on the new digital sales funnels. The impressive evolution of social media is linked to the new technologies that turned us flexible and mobile than ever. Without any surprise, marketing and sales techniques have spotted the mobile trend a long time ago and have started to adapt the conversion funnels to those new smartphone layouts in order to boost their sales but also to consolidate their branding. In addition to a new addition to the mobile entertainment services, the consumers have started to crave a need for sharing and evaluating the products and services; therefore, the brands have started to include those new behaviors in their plans so they could use those pro-active consumers in their advantage People access Social Media mostly via mobile apps, in public transports, in the bathroom, during a break at work, before going to sleep, waiting for the elevator, etc…. All those relaxing moments are the most efficient for a company to plant a seed, aiming some brand awareness and hoping for future sales conversions. The traffic growth can take a bit more time than simply paying for a displayed ad on a popular website but the results are better and more sustainable: The users feel involved in the sales process, the approach is much nicer and subtle, in other words: The prey doesn’t feel pressured. With an intense mix of personal ambition, social challenges, and hyper-consumption pressures, the user has become a dynamic and powerful element in the sales process. Now, more than ever, customers can lead opinions and followers around a company brand. We can see the very successful examples of some brands that have decided to invest in Social Media even if their services or products weren’t directly related to the social space: Wendy’s, Netflix and PornHub on Twitter. Very often, those three accounts come up in the firsts step of the discussions with our clients; those brands are “cool”, they have this funny and trendy effect. It shares a positive, entertaining and sometimes even sassy image of the brands. The amazing effect that came together with the rise of social media, is this massive capacity to address a wide audience and feed them with commercial elements about your companies, push offers and discounts, educate them about your products but also entertain them and share the values of your business. The best of it: It’s free! By integrating those social media platforms into their daily routine, the users have let the door open and invited the brands to speak to them. On Twitter, for example, many users address their complaints to airline companies, sometimes in public, sometimes in Direct private Messages. We also see some fans engaging with their favorite camgirl or pornstar, sharing their favorite scene from an Adult movie or simply endorsing some lubricant brands. Personally, I am surprised how very few companies are taking care of their social digital presence. Most of the adult brands are not pushing it more or at least taking it seriously. Thanks to my past experiences in successful networks, I’ve had the opportunity to admire the powerful advertising strategies from some of the biggest brands of our industry: When I evaluate the benefits of a tight social media marketing plan, I am always surprised to see how companies are taking light decisions about it. We are clearly facing an opportunity for companies of all kinds, to open a direct and powerful communication channel with their targets to push sales, to make them feel involved, to gain their trust and loyalty at a very affordable cost. The Economics of Camming in Columbia As we’ve said before, interactive webcamming is now documented as the largest growth sector of adult entertainment in the world –by a wide margin. In fact, compared to DVD sales of American pornography and website subscriptions, it’s not even close. Experts now believe the international webcam community earns more than 2 billion dollars a year! While cammers can live and operate nearly anywhere in the world, there are a few places on the planet where they seem to thrive. It’s no big secret that Columbia is the world’s second-largest market for adult webcamming, after Romania. In fact, camming is one of the largest professions for women in the country today, with cam houses in Medellín, Cali, and Bogotá. By one report, there were over 30,000 cam models working out of the country by the middle of 2015. The industry has grown by leaps and bounds since then, and with good cause. Camming is a quick, legal, safe path to prosperity. A popular cam model can make as much as a lawyer or doctor without years of college debt. Many models use their healthy new incomes to pay their way through college, creating a new class of educated professionals. Columbia’s mix of limited economic opportunity, widespread social conservatism as a predominantly Catholic country, and lack of regulation all help fuel the rapidly growing industry as well. Almost eighty percent of the country is Catholic. The economy has been in decline since 2017 with the Columbian peso remaining relatively weak. Cammers have the advantage of other industries in that they get paid in foreign currencies, generally USD or Euros. And while porn and camming are both legal, compared to the average video production, webcamming is much easier to keep quiet and hidden away. Models generally earn between $500 USD and a few thousand per week. Some work from home using LiveJasmine, Chaturbate, MyFreeCams, and other platforms. They can also sign up to work from cam houses that offer locations, high tech equipment, lightning-fast internet connections, and regular hours. Many enjoy the flexibility offered, earning more than a full workweek in half the time or less, allowing them free time to pursue their passions or raise their kids. Typical splits run from sixty to eighty percent of earned income, depending on the arrangement and assistance provided. Studio 20 came to Columbia in early 2017. They now operate cam houses in both Bogota and Cali, offering their unparalleled services and professionalism. In addition to a legal artist-performer contract, a Studio 20 gig includes flexible working hours, a glam team, professional video and photo shoots, trainers, coaching, technical support, and professional equipment. Studio 20 also has an extensive marketing campaign underway throughout the year that increases cam model visibility. Grupo Bedoya is another webcam company. With over 15 years in the business, they offer flexible hours, regular payouts with a low minimum threshold, and offer an array of services that includes a team of professionals, translators, trainers, photographers, videographers, and promoters. They recommend models work five or six days a week for at least six hours a day. No discussion of webcamming in Columbia would be complete without mentioning AJ Studios, one of the oldest and biggest around. Founded by Anthony Riverawithhis 50-year-old father, Juan Carlos, in 2008, AJ Studios continues to grow and implement new strategies and techniques. Located in Cali, they have offices in Medellín, Armenia, Pereira, Cartagena, and Bogotá. Anthony, who was born and spent time in New York, has been a key player in helping webcamming move towards becoming accepted as a legitimate business. AJ Studios helped launch LALEXPO, or Latin American Livecams Expo, an adult trade show in Cartagena, in 2014. A first of its kind event in Latin America, the show went on to become a popular annual event with sponsors from every corner of the camming world and workshops and seminars aimed at anyone in the adult industry—not just cam companies.LALEXPO continues to draw in adult entertainment leaders from around the globe, exposing them to the adult business infrastructure in South America. And if is that wasn’t a big enough sign of how things are growing in Columbia, recently the Colombian adult entertainment as acommunity came together to form ASOCEA, or “the Colombian Association of E-Commerce for Adults.”ASOCEA works to establish legitimacy in large part by encouraging adult companies in Colombia to unite, organize and self-regulate. A statement from the organization explains that their objectives include achieving clear policies that “facilitate the exercise and development of adult companies within formal legal parameters that guarantee both quality and respect for those who are part of it.” With no signs of demand for hot new cam models slowing down, camming will continue to dominate and impact the economy of Columbia for many years to come. By Dan Daily COO of CamLife Dan Daily grew up in the east end of London, before graduating from The London School of Economics and political science, before serving as a SAS officer in the Brittish Army. Listing and running thousands of ads, sites and landing pages over the years gives you an eye for what works and what does not. Back in the day you could run a few ads to the same page and make stupid money. Now you need to continually test and stay on top of the latest ad units, all while combating traffic fraud. Company Showcase – Paxum In early 2018, webcam sites were at a standstill when the news hit that the second major payout company disappeared overnight leaving thousands of models without a payout method. In many cases, models had no backup method of payment or their site didn’t have another payout option that would work for them leaving no way of cashing out their money. This posed another setback, sites were scrambling to find a reliable, trustworthy company to payout their models that worked on a worldwide platform. Being in an adult, this isn’t easy. Most people want our money but aren’t willing to go to bat for us and offer their services to us hassle-free. I also know from seeing first hand that integrating a payout processor to cam sites isn’t like turning on a light switch, it takes work from both sides. This is where I must champion Paxum for stepping to the plate. They got blindsided with this whole issue that left a huge portion of our industry stranded without any instant solutions. They worked tirelessly helping sites integrate their platform as fast as they safely could. Imagine, thousands of and thousands of models across the Internet all needed to get paid and they all signed up for a Paxum account at the same time. It must have been a nightmare in that office. They even hired more staff to help them process the thousands of new accounts that were coming in on a daily basis. If that wasn’t enough, Paxum had been planning to discontinue personal accounts for US residents. Chris Youngs, of Paxum.com, explains “The reason for this change is simple. Personal U.S.-based accounts represented a small percentage of Paxum’s business and revenue. At the same time, it was consuming a good share of the company’s resources which would even grow in the future.” So on top of everything, Paxum was making a big change already putting further strain on their customer support team (which I’m certain is mostly comprised of saints and angels). I can’t speak to any details, but I can say that while I was at CAM4 head office, I saw all of this unfolding and the hard work and dedication of Paxum and their team to find solutions for models, right up to the CEO. So, if your site has Paxum as a payment method I recommend you try it. They offer competitive fees, multiple options for receiving your money, and a prepaid Mastercard to access your funds. For American models wishing to use Paxum: You do need a business account to use Paxum to cash out your funds. Don’t let this scare you away from using Paxum as your payment method for your camming funds. Simply set your self up as an LLC in order to qualify for a business account. Benefits of becoming an LLC as a cam model: 1.Limited personal liability An LLC limits this personal liability because an LLC is legally separate from its owners. 2. Less paperwork LLCs don’t have to hold annual meetings and usually are not required to keep extensive records. In many states, LLCs do not need to file annual reports 3.Tax Advantages LLC’s income and expenses pass through to the owners’ personal tax returns, and the owners pay personal income tax on any profits. 4. Flexibility An LLC’s owners have more choices about the way they run the business, distribute profits between owners, and make decisions. To set up your LLC quickly and painlessly online I recommend Rocket Lawyer. Legal Terms and Conditions GDPR FAQ Our Friends Studio 20 DivaTrafic Terpon Rising Star Pr Get Your copy Now ! CamLife Industry Pioneer Spotlight Alex Bluck CEO of SkyPrivate Alex Bluck CEO of SkyPrivate Cam Life Industry Pioneer Spotlight Alex Bluck CEO of SkyPrivate. Alex Bluck is the CEO at SkyPrivate, a privateskype pay-per-minute service. It’s Alex’s job to foster b2b partnerships with other adult companies in order to license their skype pay-per-minute technology. He also handles developing partnerships with cam studios that use the SkyPrivateplatform skyprivate.com. In addition to using his background in marketing, Alex also focuses on tech and payments as well. In a recent interview with AW Summit, Alex explained that the company had seen incredible reception in Romania. Explaining that his product is a complimentary service that can be used side by side with their regular cam sites and daily work, Alex brought on a wealth of new clients for the rapidly-growing company. As of the print time, almost all the major and medium Romanian studios were either working with the company or in the process of getting set up. Part of the success came, in Alex’s opinion, from positioning their services as similar to an alternative cam site that utilizes Skype to charge per minute for video chats, rather than focusing on selling themselves as a payment tool cammers could use to keep up to 86% of their sales. Like nearly every company in the cam industry, SkyPrivate offers an affiliate program. At present, their focus remains on studios and independent models. It is not open to the general public. The company takes applications and approves them on an individual basis, allowing them to offer a share of the new business opportunity to strategic partners and affiliates without investing extra effort in managing general affiliate relations. SkyPrivateoffersa revenue-share deal where affiliates can earn 6% from bringing models or new customers to them. Partnerships can be structured either towards bringing in models or customers, or both, with lifetime payouts. SkyPrivate boasts several tools in their arsenal, including membershyp.club, a tool that allows models to sell weekly, monthly or yearly subscriptions to customers that want to be their friend on Snapchat, and unblurapp.com, a tool that allows models to sell videos and pictures inside KIK messenger, one of the most popular IM apps for cam girls these days in addition to Skype and Snapchat The benefits of SkyPrivate include blocking freeloaders. If a client does not have funds, SkyPrivate’s software automatically rejects their call. All models start out earning at a minimum of 75% share, a figure that can group as high as 86% depending on how long they keep their clients chatting. Best of all, Skyprivate’s proprietary software doesn’t burn up computing power. That means models can keep it running in the background next to Skype and focus on being active on regular cam sites. The software never accesses their video stream. Using SkyPrivate allows models and studios a legal, secure, and anonymous means to globally collect funds for their services. The tool allows models the ability to set different price ranges for individual callers, from $1 to $12 per minute, all while hiding their Skype ID from customers. They offer payouts multiple times per day, with a minimum of $40 balance SkyPrivate is currently working on integrating VR webcams from Terpon as well as adding teledildonics. After that, Alex explains the company intends on launching a mobile app that will allow models to charge per minute for skype calls right from their Android phones! SkyPrivate offers a Skype pay-per-minute webcam site with a five-minute set-up process. For more information, visitpro.skyprivate.com. CamLife Magazine Get Your copy in print or on our app now! CamLife Magazine Available In Print Get our App on the Apple Store Get our app Out Now! Maria Boroghina Executive Spotlight Maria Boroghina, COO of multi-award-winning studio Best Studios, began her career in the live webcam community as a live webcam performer in the Netherlands. Being able to put herself in the performer’s shoes and understand their concerns is a small part of what makes her successful at a company run entirely by former cam models. Best Studios is currently operating 5 large studios and another 20 boutique studios. They have over seventy rooms and a constant flow of over a hundred active models in the studio. They offer professional training in English, counseling, financial planning, high-speed internet, high tech, state-of-the-art equipment, and best of all –privacy. No one from Romania can log in, and the models use assumed identities at work, significantly reducing the chances of being recognized by neighbors and friends. Many of their top models are active on LiveJasminand report earning more than USD 50,000 each month, with the studio pulling in more than USD 20 million per year by their own account. And right at the heart of it all is Maria, overseeing it all. Maria’sduties at Best Studios include working with her team, coordinating with departments from training to brand marketing to model promotion to videos and more, Maria is involved as part of her daily workload. It’s also her job to keep in touch with the sites Best Studios works with. All in all, it’s a busy but stimulating and ultimately rewarding work environment, as she stays abreast of all aspects impacting the studio while keeping an eye out for the models Since Maria began in the business, the industry has changed radically, as has public acceptance. What was once a taboo profession is now openly celebrated by on social media as perceptions change both in Romania, America and around the globe. While American models focusing on being the “girl next door” the Romanian models are still obsessed with being classy, elegant, sophisticated online companions. Making sure models have access to tutors that focus not just on English but also on Maria believes her personal experience as a webcam model significantly helps her do her job. She recalls her time as a webcam model with pride, admitting that while there were days she wanted to throw in the proverbial towel, overall she really liked camming. Remembering her glory moments still brings a fast, easy smile to her face. Her experience as a model helped her a lot in being a good trainer, a good manager, and, most of all, a good COO. Maria explains that it’s incredibly difficult to understand certain perspectives if you haven’t experienced them yourself firsthand. Whenever it’s time to bring something new to the table, particularly ideas that will impact their training system, Maria can use that perspective to determine what advantages they will provide models, how models might practically and efficiently implement them while balancing out all the pros with the cons. Numerous points covered in thecompany’sTraining System are directly based on Maria’s firsthand experience as a former model. Maria credits this system for many of the company’s earned accolades. She also understands, as do her fellow coworkers, that members from the sites aren’t so much looking for a sexual encounter so much as they are seeking to connect and interact with the models. She understands that everything starts with communication, that there is more to a woman than just her parts, which is why she dislikes the term “sex worker”, especially when it’s applied to cam models. Best Studios is currently the only studio in the world that does not use sex toys. Maria explained to us that she found a niche for models, without needing them. We discovered that most of the members are not looking for professional seductresses, naked women, and on-demand sex. They are looking for a woman instead. So, Maria created a system in which her models can be their most feminine, elegant, strong and independent, and at the same time offering members the fix they were seeking. She knew it would not be for everyone, but what happened next surprised and excited her. Instead of shrinking sales, Maria found that replacing explicit sex tools with connectivity increased overall earnings and sped up company growth. The studio’s implicit style shifted to a distinct identity, offering models that were classy, alluring, and irresistible. It’s been a winning combination, with the company growing and thriving. Best Studios is recognized as an industry leader in camming in Romania. The company’s trophy case is overflowing with honors, including over 15 awards for their training programs alone. Best Studios continues to grow, with plans to expand its operations through steady growth and customer satisfaction. They’d like to double the number of studios they currently operate in the next few years. With Maria at the helm, anything is possible. CamLife Magazine Available In Print Get our App on the Apple Store Get our app Out Now! The Economics of Camming in Romania To anyone paying attention, it will come as no surprise that interactive webcamming is now documented as the largest growth sector of adult entertainment in the world –by leaps and bounds. Compared to DVD sales of American pornography and website subscriptions, it’s not even close. While cammers can live and operate nearly anywhere in the world, there are a few places on the planet where they seem to thrive. Of these, Bucharest, Romania is the crown jewel, luring in eager web surfers from across North America and Western Europe around the clock. In Romania, the demand for models is so great that studios compete to hire and train the best available new performers, placing ads in magazines and online and offering competitive rates. Vice reported last year that the webcam industry is one of the few fields that continued to ear and grow after the recession of 2008 devastated European markets. They estimated that the sex cam industry n Romania brings in over USD 373 million every year. Experts believe that number is closer to USD 500 million, with over 5000 cam studios working with 150,000 models. And that number is only growing! Models work six days a week in one of three shifts to ensure that there’s always someone online round-the-clock. Many studios provide training in English and how to use technology. They are equipped with high-resolution cameras, large rooms with themes, perfect lighting, and computers with high-speed internet access. Studios put in the effort to ensure their models look and sound elegant, that they are engaging and knowledgeable, and above all else, that they are as sexy as humanly possible. Good studios make sure to provide sex toys, sexy outfits, lingerie, vibrators, heels, necklaces and other props essential to keep customers coming back. Studios collaborate with hairdressers, make-up artists, working to ensure the models are at their hottest and most self-confident. There are even reports of some opening fitness gyms and dedicated beauty salons inside their offices for their models. In the cutthroat environment of Romanian studio camming, many models now sign lucrative contracts with studios to keep them coming back. Some offer pensions and medical coverage. These legally binding agreements are renewed every year. Under the contracts, models agree to share a percentage of their earnings with the studio, generally between 30% and 70%. With the average number of models in any given studio being fifty, the average split being 40% percent, and the average model earning around $7500 a month, studios are raking in $225,000a month or USD 2.7 million annually. Thousands of women work from studios dotted across the city, as well as their private residences. One such location rests right in the heart of town, ensconced between looming apartments and nondescript business buildings. Boasting over forty private rooms, Studio 20 occupies several floors. Their trained models, who brush up on their English with tutors and take psychology classes to understand fetishes, entertain members from all over the world around the clock. Studio 20 is the biggest webcam franchise in the world. The popular company has nine branches in Romania, including one that caters to the gay market. Other Studio 20 branches locations include Cali, Columbia, Budapest, and Los Angeles. According to the BBC, models that work eight-hour days for Studio 20 usually earn about USD 4,500 in a month, a sum equal to almost ten times the Romanian average wage. As the model’s employer, Studio 20 earns the same amount from the model’s camming sessions. LiveJasmin is the online cam site that streams Studio 20’s content. The company also takes care of processing credit card payments from clients. For their services they take in twice what models do, around $9000 per model a month on average. LiveJasmin is the largest internet cam host in the world. With upwards of 40 million daily visitors and thousands of models online at any moment, it is easy to see how the web-cam industry-generated an estimated $3 billion dollars last year alone. Another massive camming operation in Romania is Best Studios. Maria Boroghina, many of their top models are active on LiveJasmin. COO Maria insists that each of their top models earns more than $50,000 USD each month, with the studio pulling in more than $20 million USD per year. Other studios that deserve an honorable mention include ABS studio, SmartChat, Bsmart, and Models4Models, who’ve only been around for about a year and they are completely running and operated by former models. Models4Models Founder Evelina started over 15 years ago as a model, but her passion for organizing led her to work as a general manager. She was the organizer of the Bucharest Summit, one of the most prestigious events in the industry. Evelina explains that she started Models4Models because she felt the need for a major change in the industry, time to bring the elegant feminine touch to an industry where management is often overtly masculine. Evelina brought with her a team of former models and experienced cam professionals to create a popular cam house that works to train models while treating women with respect and dignity. At Models4Models they consider the happiness of their performers the most important thing. With no signs of demand in the West slacking, camming is sure to be a lucrative business in Romania for many years to come! CamLife Magazine Get Your copy in print or on our app now! CamLife Magazine Available In Print Get our App on the Apple Store Get our app Out Now! In this issue of Cam Life Magazine, we have taken a look at some of the live webcam community’s biggest influencers from cam models to industry insiders. Now We will be taking a look at what exactly Influencer Marketing is and how some of the top companies in the live webcam industry use it. So What is Influencer Marketing? To keep it simple, Influencer Marketing is kind of a hybrid of old and new marketing tools, taking the idea of the celebrity endorsement and placing it into a modern-day content-driven marketing campaign. The main difference is that the results of the campaign are usually collaborations between brands and influencers. It’s easy to imagine a celebrity teaming with a company to pitch a product—even if the pitch is a series of 10-minute videos instead of a 30-second television ad. But people wouldn’t be talking about Influencer Marketing—you wouldn’t be reading about it, either—if it didn’t have a much wider set of applications. And the key is in the word, “Influencer.” Influencers, unlike celebrities, can be anywhere. They can be anyone. What makes them influential is their large followings on the web and social media. An influencer can be a popular photographer on Instagram, A cam model or a well-read tech blogger who tweets, or a respected marketing executive. Within any industry even the live webcam industry, there are influential people—you just have to find them. They are easily recognized by their hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of followers, and that’s the target audience that you are going after. What works in Influencer Marketing Carefully consider your approach in influencer marketing 1. Be organized, put together a strategy, plan, and budget, spend time on research patient, and be human – people talking to people, not companies talking to companies Develop a schedule. Does the influencer prefer monthly/quarterly/biannual calls or newsletters? Integrate with your PR schedule, product release schedule, etc. 3.Send emails on behalf of key executives. Plan travel schedules for exec and arrange face-to-face meetings What Influencer Marketing isn’t Now, this would be a good time to point out that IM isn’t just about finding someone with an audience and offering them money or exposure so they can say good things about you. Influencer Marketing is also not about quick payouts. It’s the same kind of slow-and-steady approach as Social Media and Content Marketing, where your campaign isn’t about directly selling your product or service. It’s about demonstrating your authority, credibility, and thought-leadership within your industry. It’s about becoming synonymous with whatever it is that you offer, like when people say they’re going to google instead of search it on the web. What doesn’t work in Influencer Marketing Generalizing your approach to finding & making use of different influencers. Remember one size doesn’t fit all influencers: tailor your approach to the specific influencer. Simply looking at the popularity of the influencer. Influence does not only mean popularity, remember that your goal is to elicit a specific action from your target audience. Influencer Marketing is Marketing to Influencers traditional In Social Media Marketing, a brand would set up its identity on multiple platforms and, as time passed and user bases grew, they could see who their brand champions were. That is, who were the customers that were liking and sharing content or mentioning the brand itself in a post. Users like these would often be further nurtured, through personal attention and as part of a highly segmented group of all the brand champions. Efforts to market to this group would include ways to keep them spreading the word. So now that we know what Influencer Marketing, isn’t and a basic idea of how to put it into play let’s look at how some of the top companies in the live cam community use it.
