When it comes to deciding on a name that you’ll use professionally, it’s normal to be overwhelmed by the possibilities. Besides providing you with a vital layer of anonymity, a “stage name” is ultimately a means for cam performers to create a separate and distinctive persona. Many prospective models already have something of a “secret life” online anyway, so picking a name helps you to draw clear boundaries between your “model side” and “civilian side.” Trust us: boundaries are always your friend! That aside, at Cherry.tv, we are here to help you towards finding some ideas. In this piece, we’ll ponder what are some sexy names for cam girls—and more importantly what’s going to work best for YOU? Consider Your Branding and What Makes you Unique Take a look in the mirror—literally! If you’re a new model and in the process of filling out all those profiles and biographies on different cam platforms, you’ve probably already given some thought to your niche or #category tags. Are you a busty brunette MILF? An ebony fitness goddess? A ruthless domme? A Latina teen? You don’t have to let your appearance dictate your name at all, BUT how you choose to brand yourself might inform your choice. If you want to play the innocent coed spinner, something sweet, simple, and “girl next door” like “Kat” or “Jennifer” is probably a better fit for your marketing than “Raven” or “Mistress Savannah.” See what works – but don’t imitate other models! Sure, certain first names have their moments of popularity, so it’s highly likely that you will not be the only “Amber” or “Ashley” on Cherry.tv, or any other cam site. However, the more unique you can be, the better off you are in the long run. You don’t want your fans confusing you with another “Riley” right? So try and bear this in mind as you sort through the possibilities. Additionally, many models come up with both a fake first and last name – so if you’re the only Riley Silvermoon or Ginger Ann Foxxx, even better! Make it sound good! A cam platform in 2021 is not AOL instant messenger from 1997—so there’s no need for weird anonymous sequences of numbers or letters or a screen name like ‘PunkRkBabe101.” Some people might pick screen names that do not reflect their given cam name, but you also want your fans to be able to easily refer to and converse with you. Hence “Lily” is much easier and more relatable than “SQ1992” or “Unicorngrl12.” It also goes without saying that you want something that makes you happy to see in print and be called by! Other practical advice to consider… As you go through the process of picking out a name, consider making separate email addresses and other social media handles strictly for your camming persona. Again, you want to ensure safe separation from your “civilian” self, but also by doing so, you establish a greater online presence with your model identity and can connect with fans across other social platforms if desired. Play with the spelling—but only within reason. You don’t want to confuse your audience or appear terribly contrived. For instance, it’s fine to have “xxx” in the name if that’s reasonable (i.e. Lexxxi) BUT you don’t want to go crazy with obscure spellings or homophones either. Popular Names As we said previously, it’s normal that certain names “trend” from year to year with models. We took a look around the major cam platforms and derived this shortlist. If you like anything you see, go for it—but also, don’t feel like you have to go for a name because it is popular. Remember: pick something that is authentically YOU (i.e. your persona) and is also something that you’re ok with living with. Without further ado, here are the most popular cam girl names we found from 2020-2021: Brianna Erika Lexi Brooke Vanessa April Natalie Jenna Molly Katie May Other inspiration to draw from… If you’re going ‘meh’ to being another Katie in a sea of Kates, have no fear! There’s never a shortage of imagination or possibilities in terms of naming yourself. Check out our handy guide below and explore some alternate sources for your “nomme de camming” inspiration! Best Game and Show Ideas for Cam Models Best Game and Show Ideas for Cam Models Keeping your shows fun and interesting is an integral part of your success as a model…but also—it’s good for your own sanity too! At Cherry.tv we’ve learned that the solution for everyone is to have more fun—yep, you heard us! And nothing breaks the ice and engages users quite like playing fun, sexy games during your live show. So without further ado, check out these ideas below and level up on your next live stream! 1- Prize Wheel Similar to “Wheel of Fortune,” you can get a physical wheel to spin live or download an app on your phone. You spin the wheel and users get different ‘prizes.’ The prizes can be as simple as you blowing a kiss or flashing, or giving away a Snapchat subscription, or a free custom. You could also offer a ‘basic wheel’ that is free to spin and then a premium wheel, which costs x tokens to spin but has the more premium prize options. 2- Pick a Number You can use index cards or even a whiteboard and approach this in several ways. You can charge x tokens per guess, and then place a simple prize under several numbers or only one grand prize. 3- Dice Games Roll the Dice is a fairly popular game for models. Users will tip a fixed amount to roll the dice, and each number will represent a prize. You will need to make a little chart that lets users know what they’ve won if they roll a certain number. If you use more than one dice, you’ll end up with multiple prize options too. You could even make a rule that says if you roll a double or get snake eyes, the user wins nothing. Again, the prizes don’t have to be extravagant—it could be as simple as doing a dance. Note: if you don’t have dice handy, use a coin and try a sexy variation of “heads or tails.” 4- Hangman In this classic game, every wrong letter guessed results in a body part of the stick figure being drawn onto the page. But on cam, if your customers guess correctly you add it to the phrase. The phase should be an action that you will perform if they win the round. Feel free to start with something simple and raising the bar based on how the tips are rolling in! 5- Tip Raffles Pick something you wish to raffle off (whether content, panties, signed photos, or other creative items) Create a price for your raffle ticket. You can also specify that a certain number of raffle tickets need to be sold before drawing a winner in order to cover costs due to the raffle (i.e. shipping costs). You should also pick a definite date to draw the raffle and announce the winner. N.B. sure to track entries and results offline so you cannot be accused of “rigging” anything! 6- Balloons Balloon games aren’t just for balloon fetishists-but they definitely attract them! However, in this twist, you put a piece of paper inside each balloon with an act/prize. Users pay in tips to ‘pop’ the balloon of their choice and win! 7- Cards Card games can be used similarly to dice games to dictate the amount of something given out, but you can also incorporate more features of the cards to create fun games. For instance, you could do JOI draw where a red card means ‘stop’ and a black card gives the user (or you!) permission to keep masturbating. 8- Never Have I Ever This is a fun way for the audience to learn more about you and vice versa. If you lose, you’ll need something to give out/do (flash, spank, content, etc.) If they lose, they tip you! 9- Strip Jenga Take some Jenga blocks and start building! Members can tip you to pull a block—and you can continue to do so, one block at a time, until the tower crumbles. Once that happens, you strip or do a show—whatever stake you wish to set! 10-Truth or Dare If you’re feeling adventurous, let them tip you for either a truth or a dare! Be sure to set parameters carefully by banning any illegal dares/stuff on your no-list–and also have an alternative prize if you chicken out/aren’t comfortable. CHOOSING AN ATTORNEY: A GUIDE FOR CAM MODELS AND CLIP ARTISTS When you’re a cam model or a clip artist, choosing an attorney might seem like a daunting task. Picking the right lawyer to have on your side though is one of the most important things you can do for your business. Here are some tips to guide you through the process of finding the right match. Do your research. Go online–Do a search for attorneys using appropriate keywords. Take a look at the websites of the lawyers you find. If you like a few, then do a search of their names to see what kind of articles they’ve written, work they’ve done in the past, etc. Get references. Check with friends “in the biz” about who they use. Ask what they like about their lawyer, and what they think could improve. If it seems like someone you’d like to give a try, perhaps ask your friend for an introduction. An intro can help break the ice for the initial consultation. Interview. When you go to the first consultation, ask all of the questions of the attorney that you need to feel comfortable. Ask them about whether they’ve worked with the adult industry before. Ask if they are comfortable with the sexually-explicit language as well as pornographic images. Ask them about their experience with cam models and clip artists. Ask what kinds of work they have done for models and artists in the industry. Ask about pricing. Ask how projects will be billed. In some cases, you may prefer a “per project” flat fee, and in others, an hourly rate may be your preference. Talk about it to make sure whatever you negotiate will work for both you and the attorney. Get experts. Use different attorneys where necessary. The laws are complicated, and sometimes you’ll need a subject matter specialist in one area and another specialist in another area. For example, you may need an intellectual property attorney to assist you with an agreement relating to your publicity rights, and another attorney to help you if you wind up with an online stalker situation. Just like doctors, many lawyers work in a particular area to tailor their experience and grow a particular set of skills. Choose the right lawyer for each situation based on that background. Communicate. Once you have chosen an attorney, provide them with ALL of the information they need to adequately represent you. Make yourself available to answer any questions they have while working on your case(s). In order for a lawyer to get you the best possible result, they need to know all of the facts –“the good, the bad, and the ugly,” as the saying goes. Make sure you’ve found a person you feel comfortable sharing with. Then, as the relationship progresses, evaluate how you feel. If everything is (hopefully) great, then that’s awesome! If something can be improved, let the attorney know that. Working with a new person or company requires building a rapport, and that requires communication. A good lawyer will hear your feedback and work toward a happy client… And, as an attorney, I can tell you that happy clients make happy attorneys!! Your lawyer is someone that you will look to protect your interests. Conversely, it is the job of that lawyer to zealously represent you as their client. This requires a trusting relationship from both sides. Accordingly, it’s vital to take the proper steps in choosing an attorney, and in communicating with that attorney, so that the outcome will be a success! CamLife Magazine Available In Print Get our App on the Apple Store Get our app Coming soon for Android Bsmart Model Mindset Checklist Here at CamLife Magazine, we asked our good friend PR. Manager and head trainer of Bsmart studios Anca Craciun to share some tips for models. So we are happy to bring you the Bsmart Model Mindset Checklist. – Have fun You might think how does having fun makes me a good cam model? It’s all about your attitude and what you reflect on your viewers. If you are always positive, smile genuinely, laugh out loud, dance with passion and joke around, you’ll loosen up and unwind your members, who came to your room seeking fun company and a break from their busy lives. If you strive to be the moment of relief to their days, they will keep on coming and never get enough. – Be organized If you’re offering the best services on the market but you aren’t consistent with your schedule or working hours, you will have a hard time achieving your goals. Create a schedule that you always stick to, let members know of your days off and planned holidays in advance and make sure you are working at least 8 hours, 5 days a week for better placement on the websites of your choice. Lots of members will throughout the day be looking forward to the moment they get home and get the chance to visit you. If you stick to your schedule, both you and the members will win in the long run. You should also be organized outside of your working hours. -Improve yourself Think of your online time as a relationship. Relationships are very intense in the beginning and gradually and slowly lose their momentum if things stay the same. The best relationships are those in which partners will try their best to bring something new to the table, surprise their partners with new and exciting ideas and really commit to improving themselves. Try to learn as much from others as you can and adjust it to your personal style. As a model, there is a big investment you make in your appearance, as this is the first thing a member sees. Clothing and shoes, jewelry and accessories, make-up, gym classes, salon appointments, etc. Do your best to also invest in your intellectual growth and you can become the perfect package. Anything from learning a new language, perfecting your dance skills, reading about the latest scientific discoveries or just binging on books. Create a name for yourself, create a brand using social media and stand out of the crowd. The more you invest in your improvement, the greater your returns. -Be real Most of the members will come to your room to seek a connection they lack in real life and they will be happy to meet someone willing to put in the time and effort to develop a real relationship. Treat everyone as a real person and always express your true emotions. Say what you feel and don’t be shy if there is something bothering you to just show it, or show appreciation when needed. Try to understand them, be there for them when they need it, and be a real friend. -Be determined Determination and commitment are what keeps your eyes set on the goal, allowing you to focus on the positive and fun aspects of the job and on the finish line. Whenever you feel your resolve is wavering, think of why you started and what you want to achieve. Understand that you are your own boss and you strive to achieve independence and take life into your own hands. Learn to have the same positive attitude on both good days and bad days as only the growth By Anca Craciun Don’t forget to get your copy of CamLife in Print and on the Apple store CamLife Magazine Get Your copy in print or on our app now! Freedom. Identity. Discovery. by Katya Tiuni Freedom. Identity. Discovery. by Katya Tiuni. Freedom. Identity. Discovery. Model’s guide The brand’s history To show you what Model’s guide is, we’d like to tell you more about its establisher Katya Tiuni Katya Tiuni has started her journey 13 years ago in 2006, at the age of 19, at a modeling studio in Ukraine, which was located in a shared apartment. Once she showed up on the other side of the screen, her life changed forever. During the next five years, she has been evolving as a model, learned English and achieved TOP incomes. A girl from a poor family could finally afford to buy her own flat! Later, when she knew how it all worked, it helped her create her own studio in Ukraine and later in the Czech Republic. Her results were surprising and money was swept off her feet, but during some years something awful happened – all studios in Ukraine got closed up. She was wondering what she was going to do next. She wasn’t going to leave, because she realized that she found her true self in the cam industry. While she was sitting at home and scrolling through beautiful pictures of tiled roofs in Prague, an awesome idea crossed her mind. The idea was to establish a studio in the Czech Republic, in a country where this kind of business was legal. She took her backpack and headed to new adventures and new life. During these 8 years, Katya and her partners have established several studios and the brand of Tip-Top in particular. This studio has been numerously nominated and awarded on international competitions in the Adult industry. Katya attended hundreds of summits, conferences, courses, schools, seminars and personal meetings with world-known TOP studios and models. Due to this, she has gained great experience and later she developed a unique training program for models that helps models to elicit their potential and earn 10000 dollars per month and more. In 2017 Kate decided to show this educational program to the whole world and share her experience with those who speak Russian. She wanted to give a hand to beginner models because their lack of knowledge and stereotypes were stopping this craft from developing. This is why Kate started to share her experience and created a blog about this work, inspiring people with her faithfulness, frankness, and courage. Thanks to the blog, Katya was noticed and invited to big summits like WTF and OnlineCamSummit as a speaker. When she was standing and sharing her experience on the stage with other models, she realized that it was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life and this was her mission. When she got back to Prague, Katya threw all her efforts into her new goal — establishing Model’s Guide. What is the Model’s Guide? Model’s Guide is the world’s first online platform for those webcam models who speak Russian. This project helps each model to fully understand the work, to change not only their income but also their lifestyle and make their work a successful business. Model’s Guide aims to help models with finding the shortest way to success, avoiding the most typical mistakes. There are three words on the basis of Model’s Guide: Freedom. Identity. Discovery. Why them? For Katya and her team, these are the things that represent the brand Freedom for Model’s Guide is firstly a person’s independence. Independence from circumstances, other people’s opinions and, above all else, financial independence. In just one year of studying a model can reach TOP salary, starting from 10000 dollars per month and higher. Freedom makes your goals and dreams come true. Identity. Through years of work with models, Katya realized that all girls are different, with their own specific appearances, customs, and characters. This is why we have an individual approach to every student during the training. Model’s Guide develops a personal brand for each model. It includes her hobbies, customs, style, mime, gesture, her brand’s attributes as well as social media and social circle. Thanks to Katya and her team, any model can create her personal brand and successfully use it in her work. Discovery. While studying psychology, attending personal development training, and working with a psychotherapist, Katya realized that nothing inspires her as much as instant development. This is why the Model’s Guide gives every model a chance for personal growth and development of their potential. Psychology courses, personal coaching sessions with trainers, getting over fears and old affirmations, working on the body, style, and image really help that. Development in webcam requires instant self-improvement Studying takes place online on a private educational platform. Models have personal meetings with experts via Skype, which allows them to be in any part of the world. There are 3 types of courses: basic, advances and TOP-model. Each one offers 14 lessons and personal coaching sessions with Katya herself as well as with Milena (stylist and personal development trainer). Every lesson is released once a month with a home task. To access the next task, a model should use her skills in her online work. Who is this course made for? For new models, who want to understand how this business works, create their personal brand andget to the TOP with a salary of 10.000$ a month. For those who want to love themselves and become more self-confident.For those who want to find their own style and palette, hairstyle and makeup and discover their soul. Also, this course is going to be good for studios, who want to help their models work better and be highlighted among hundreds of other models on websites. We wish Katya and her team success and luck! Thank you for motivating hundreds of models to love their work and be proud of it. CamLife Magazine Get Your copy in print or on our app now! GET DOWN TO BUSINESS – PROTECT YOUR PERFORMER NAME! GET DOWN TO BUSINESS – PROTECT YOUR PERFORMER NAME! As a performer, your “stage name” is a major component of your brand. It’s how clients search for you, recognize you (outside of your amazing looks!), and keeping coming back to find your content. If another performer starts to use a similar name to yours, they may steal away valuable traffic, which, as you know, over time will add up to dollars being taken right out of your pocket. Registering your performer name as a trademark can help you battle situations like those, and protect yourself from copycats. In the porn/camming context, a performer name can be trademarked in relation to services (webcam entertainment services, online video clips, etc.) or goods (DVDs, merch, etc.). Registration with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) will give you the right to exclusive use of the mark throughout the entire United States. Note that federal trademark registration is different from a domain name registration or company name registration. Domain name registrations and company name registrations serve important purposes but are not a replacement for trademark registration. Trademark registrations, with some exceptions, are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. So, it is important to file as soon as possible for your name. This is especially true because if you’ve been using a name, and someone files for it before you, it can be a long, difficult, and expensive process to set the record straight. This is an excellent time for performers to be thinking about protecting their names. For decades, trademarks including sexually-explicit language or imagery were denied registration at the USPTO. Repeatedly, trademarks of companies in the adult industry were rejected as banned for being “scandalous” or “immoral.” However, that all changed this year when the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the ban as unconstitutional. This is a massive win for the industry, but for performers to take advantage, they need to get up to speed on the basics of trademark selection, registration, and use. I know the subject sounds dry, but hey, we can’t be wet all the time! When developing your performer brand, a good starting point is a trademark search. You will not be able to register a trademark that is confusingly similar in appearance or sound to trademarks previously registered by another performer or company for goods or services like yours. A search will reveal any such issues, and you can make decisions on how to move forward based on the results. Though it is not required, it’s helpful to have an attorney so that they can help you with the search process, results analysis, and application. trademark is valid. So, go get down to business – Protect the reputation you’re building in your name and get it registered! How Freak7_7Show Used Radio To Improve Their Cam Show. You are listening to the Fuck Off Freak Show Hello, hello, hello… I’m Freak, and I’m Master. And you’re Listening to The Fuck Off Freak Sh…Wait wait wait that’s not what this is. This is a magazine article not our radio show. We have been a couple since 2008 and on May 25th, 2012 we decided to try out broadcasting live on Cam4. We thought it’d be fun and exciting to have people watch us fuck. In 2015 we quit our jobs to start camming full time. We now cam live on both Chaturbate and Cam4, make video and photo content, and do a live weekly radio show on Demonseed Radio Network. Today we’re gonna show you how you can start your own show. Hosting a Radio Show First you will need to find a place to host your content or live broadcast. Would you do a podcast type or live broadcasts? After doing some interviews with some of the other shows on Demonseed we got in contact with Bobby G show@demonseedradio.com One thing we have to be careful of is getting our content removed so as far as my research shows a great option for porn or sex related podcast host is Simplecast. Equipment Headphones Mixer or sound board Microphone and stand Microphone cables Stereo breakout cable Headphone amplifier The equipment and software we use to do our live radio broadcast include a soundboard, microphones, and headphones. Our soundboard connects to the computer via USB. From there we use audacity to record our shows and we use the BUTT to broadcast our radio shows through the demon seed radio network web site. Coming up with content In my professional opinion, having a good theme for our show helped tremendously. But the thing for us that has been a lot cooler is having different segments. After our first episode I thought I really want to ask these embarrassing questions to other people. Who doesn’t want to know what other people masturbate to or what they first thought sex was before actually knowing. Which led into our twitter poll segment which has now graduated to reddit. We also do grow tip of the week (just the tip), strain of the week, weed news, messed up news stories, and shoutouts. Coming Soon more interviews. Our newest segment is intro to conspiracy theories which has been interesting so far. Themes Having themes or segments for your show is helpful for coming up with content. It also breaks down the episode better, especially for the live aspect of it. The Fuck Off Freak Show Theme self-proclaimed comedy Offensiveness Episode Segments Embarrassing questions promote ourselves Twitter poll segment Grow tip of the week (just the tip) Strain of the week Weed news Messed up news stories Shoutouts Interviews Remember that this is live so you will want to reintroduce your show and what you’re talking about. It also helps broadcasting while doing this to have conversation going to keep things interesting and flowing. Monetize Use your referral codes and links Paid Advertisement Product Testing Uploading episodes to SFSW sites to get further reach. Moving traffic to where you want it Sell your swag! Make commercials using referral codes that will make you money. Getting places to let you play their commercials. Getting companies to let you do product testing for them on your shows. Uploading episodes to SFSW sites to get a further reach with past content. Moving traffic from your broadcast to your sites. And my all-time favorite sell your swag! The easiest ways to make some extra $ Some sites pay you for free signs ups or free views. For 3 months we did the radio broadcast by itself then in December started camming while doing the radio broadcast. On the radio I have shared so much stuff I don’t think I would have normally been so nonchalant about. It has felt freeing in a way to give literally zero fucks. Being able to do camming while broadcasting has been so great getting tipped while trying to read is thee best. Doing ASMR for squirt goals, the juicy sounds you can hear just by fingering pussy and spankings. The microphones even pick up the sounds of the vibrators that are deep inside me. The equipment and software we use to do our live radio broadcast includes a soundboard, microphones, and headphones. Our sound board connects to the computer via USB. From there we use audacity to record our shows and we use the BUTT to broadcast our radio shows through the demon seed radio network web site. And the joke of opening the BUTT has not gotten old to us and we are just a little past our one year anniversary with the Fuck Off Freak Show, exclusively on Demonseedradionetwork.com. For us camming is super fun and really keeps things interesting. But not only do our cam shows include sensual, animal like, freaky sex we also really like to think we are super fucking funny. So to have this platform to explore our self proclaimed comedy just seemed like a no brainer. Funny enough though I think one of the first things we thought was we can give promotion to our favorite cam models this way then, of course, thought it’d be a really weird way to be able to promote ourselves too. For more tips, tricks, and advice from the whos who of the live webcam community check our Cam UNIVERSITY section here at CamLife Magazine.
