JULIAKANEXX   My Story

To all the cheeky hearts out there who do not know me yet, my name is the one that usually sticks on everyone’s lips – sometimes for the best, the appreciation, and the lust, sometimes just for the regular gossip.

Hi, I am JULIAKANEXX and my story has a lot of self-confidence. Just like me. But it was never like this. I come from a very challenging background, and unlike many of my colleagues at Models4Models, I had been in the industry for quite some time now – and we all know what that is and how challenging it might get. Jumping on from studio to studio, over the year I found quite some challenges, some on a very personal level, to me, as a woman, some on a very professional level. and when I say professionally, I mean a lot of mistrust and a lot of bullying from the industry. the first years were exciting on the money-making level, but completely the opposite in a work environment.  It took me a lot of sexism, late wage payments, and a lot of mistrust that, in the end, just lowered my self-confidence. But I knew I needed to do more.

So I went on a quest and this is how I got on the M4M team. Where I stayed up to this day. Most people think self-confidence is something that you are born with—you either have it or you don’t.

But the truth is, confidence is just like any other personality trait. If you want to be more patient, you have to practice patience. If you want to be more compassionate, you have to practice compassion. If you want to be more thoughtful, you have to practice doing things intentionally. And if you want to be confident, well then, you simply have to practice being confident. And if you also want to make some money, then you really need that confidence, not only in yourself but also in the team you are working with. Both 2018 and 2019 paid off as not just Model Of The Year, but also Miss Congeniality all-the-way-baby with Stripchat, I traveled to the Cyprus offices, had an entire mad blast, got to know the best teams of professionals, and change my entire view on the industry – the kindest of people, the bravery of leaders, on top with all the management from M4M, I knew now that I have something to really aspire to.

I learned that it is really not about how you present yourself on the surface only. To me, after all the time learning and growing on the Models4Models team, I came across that confidence is all about who you are, as a human being, and the energy you give off. The vibrancy. The power of visualizing yourself out there. This is why the path to “becoming” more confident has very little to do with anything external, and everything to do with getting to the root of your fears, your insecurities, and who it is you believe yourself to be in the world. But to keep the mind humble and the heart open for others to see you, so that they can believe in you, even on the days where you might not feel so fierce, or so outgoing. 

Surround yourself with the bold, the ambitious, the brave, the cheeky, the loud, also the proud, with the highs, and the lows, and celebrate each moment.

That will bring you confidence. And the belonging – of always being on the top.
