Maria Boroghina Executive Spotlight

Maria Boroghina, COO of multi-award-winning studio Best Studios, began her career in the live webcam community as a live webcam performer in the Netherlands. Being able to put herself in the performer’s shoes and understand their concerns is a small part of what makes her successful at a company run entirely by former cam models. 

Best Studios is currently operating 5 large studios and another 20 boutique studios. They have over seventy rooms and a constant flow of over a hundred active models in the studio. They offer professional training in English, counseling, financial planning, high-speed internet, high tech, state-of-the-art equipment, and best of all –privacy. No one from Romania can log in, and the models use assumed identities at work, significantly reducing the chances of being recognized by neighbors and friends. 

Many of their top models are active on LiveJasminand report earning more than USD 50,000 each month, with the studio pulling in more than USD 20 million per year by their own account. And right at the heart of it all is Maria, overseeing it all.

Maria’sduties at Best Studios include working with her team, coordinating with departments from training to brand marketing to model promotion to videos and more, Maria is involved as part of her daily workload. It’s also her job to keep in touch with the sites Best Studios works with. All in all, it’s a busy but stimulating and ultimately rewarding work environment, as she stays abreast of all aspects impacting the studio while keeping an eye out for the models 

Since Maria began in the business, the industry has changed radically, as has public acceptance. What was once a taboo profession is now openly celebrated by on social media as perceptions change both in Romania, America and around the globe. While American models focusing on being the “girl next door” the Romanian models are still obsessed with being classy, elegant, sophisticated online companions. Making sure models have access to tutors that focus not just on English but also on Maria believes her personal experience as a webcam model significantly helps her do her job. She recalls her time as a webcam model with pride, admitting that while there were days she wanted to throw in the proverbial towel, overall she really liked camming. Remembering her glory moments still brings a fast, easy smile to her face. 

Her experience as a model helped her a lot in being a good trainer, a good manager, and, most of all, a good COO. Maria explains that it’s incredibly difficult to understand certain perspectives if you haven’t experienced them yourself firsthand. Whenever it’s time to bring something new to the table, particularly ideas that will impact their training system, Maria can use that perspective to determine what advantages they will provide models, how models might practically and efficiently implement them while balancing out all the pros with the cons. She also understands, as do her fellow coworkers, that members from the sites aren’t so much looking for a sexual encounter so much as they are seeking to connect and interact with the models. She understands that everything starts with communication, that there is more to a woman than just her parts, which is why she dislikes the term “sex worker”, especially when it’s applied to cam models.

Best Studios is currently the only studio in the world that does not use sex toys. Maria explained to us that she found a niche for models, without needing them. We discovered that most of the members are not looking for professional seductresses, naked women, and on-demand sex. They are looking for a woman instead.  

So, Maria created a system in which her models can be their most feminine, elegant, strong and independent, and at the same time offering members the fix they were seeking. She knew it would not be for everyone, but what happened next surprised and excited her.

Instead of shrinking sales, Maria found that replacing explicit sex tools with connectivity increased overall earnings and sped up company growth. The studio’s implicit style shifted to a distinct identity, offering models that were classy, alluring, and irresistible.
