CamLife’s Dan Daily Interviews Skitty https://camlifemag.com/camlife-magazines-dan-daily-interviews-skitty/ Fri, 25 Oct 2019 19:50:29 +0000 https://camlifemag.com/?p=4486 CamLife’s Dan Daily Interviews Skitty CamLife’s COO Dan Daily Interviews Skitty an amazing live webcam model broadcasting on MFC. In addition to being featured as this month’s, Spotlight Showcase Skitty was also featured Cam Life Magazines list of  25 Cam models that are in a League of Their Own coming in at number 24.   Dan – So how long have you been Camming? Skitty – Coming up on 5 years this October!  Dan – How did you come up with your stage name? Skitty – It’s a nickname I’ve been going by for a long time. A friend of mine gave it to me, and it really seemed unique and fun. So it’s just kind of stuck ever since! Dan – What platform do you broadcast on? Skitty – I host my own weekly live stream on my website, www.skitty.tv, I also stream on Myfreecams nightly under the username Skitty. Dan – So how did you’re family and friends feel about your decision to become a live Cam model?  Skitty – Some have been really supportive, some have not. It’s something you have to love about yourself and not worry about what others think about it. Dan – What was your first day on cam like? Skitty – I’m pretty sure I was crammed in front of a blank door, completely in secret trying it out, not a clue of what I was doing. The members were all really nice that day, and explained I should “talk”, like, out loud! To the computer! I was just typing back to them at the time. It seemed so confusing at first to talk out loud to a chatroom, but quickly got the hang of it. Dan – What makes your cam show stand out from other cam models?  Skitty – I focus more on the tease and performance, rather than straight to the sexual aspects of camming. I’ve created my own type of “studio” in my house, with tons of colored lighting, aerial equipment, silks, and curtains, I even use a professional camera for streaming. Additionally, I’ve gotten quite professional with my content, on average a 5-minute clip will take me roughly 2-3 hours to design, but it is most certainly worth it to have that professional look. I’ve really gone all out to make my camming experience the best it can be. Dan –  Now Skitty you have an amazing body how do you stay in such great shape?  Skitty – .by eating lots of snacks and candy. Ha! But I do have a Workout Wednesday on cam every week which gives me quite the workout! Dan –  In your opinion what does it take to truly be successful as a live webcam performer? Skitty – Dedication and a positive attitude. You need to be inviting, you cannot sit there and expect to be rewarded for being pretty. Make people feel welcomed, entertained, be professional, and you’ll have a room that wants to support you. Dan –  What do you like the most about being a live webcam performer? Skitty – love getting creative, thinking of new ideas, styling new shows and creating new content. It is so freeing to be able to do whatever I want, no matter how crazy it may be. Having that freedom of creative expression is something I always wanted to have in my career, and I’ve got it. Not to mention it works with my schedule, and if there’s something important to attend to, I don’t have to worry. Dan – What advice would you give to someone that is just starting out in the live webcam industry? Skitty – Watch other models. Get ideas, get the feel of the website, the functions, how things work. I spent an entire year MIA from cam just researching after I first joined, because I wanted to learn about everything and how it worked. If you feel like you’re not ready to take it seriously, then you might want to wait until you have reached a better time in your life. I didn’t go full-time until I had space, time, and learned how I wanted to really do things and what I was truly comfortable doing. Dan – We here at Cam Life Magazine believe that the live webcam industry is more than just a multi-billion dollar industry it is a community of performers and entrepreneurs. What are your thoughts on this? Skitty – It’s most certainly more, at least for me. For those of us who live off of this income, yes, there are goals to meet and bills to pay. But, there’s a lot more than the bottom line of money, because we are all plenty capable of going out into the world and getting a “job”. It’s more about expression, learning about your sexuality, learning about people and how different types of people react to different things, learning how to brand yourself and create something of your own. There’s money involved, but the skills you can acquire from camming are more valuable. Not to mention, you can get some really great friendships and interact with people who you likely would have never gotten the chance to interact with. Dan – What did you like the least about the live webcam industry? Skitty – The one thing I dislike is the lack of respect for the model’s shows & work. By this, I mean piracy of content from models. I think that is the one thing I felt violated by, having worked hard on something, to have someone go out there and steal it from you and put it out online for anyone to see. I hope eventually this gets taken more seriously on a legal level. Dan – What are you’re goals for your career in the live webcam industry? Skitty – I’ve already achieved a good amount of my goals, I bought my first home this past year at just 22 years old, which was my biggest live achievement. My main goal now isRead More »CamLife’s Dan Daily Interviews Skitty

Skitty – I’ve already achieved a good amount of my goals, I bought my first home this past year at just 22 years old, which was my biggest live achievement. My main goal now is to be able to pay off my mortgage now and make good investments so I can be set up for my later years.

Dan – Do you have any guilty pleasures? Skitty – Fuzzy animals, ice cream, and watching other beautiful cam models.

Dan – What is your favorite aphrodisiac? Skitty – I’ve come back to the “watching other beautiful cam models” comment…

Dan – If you had to spend a week alone on a desert island what three things would you bring with you? Skitty – Camera, tripod, and a lot of batteries. Because there’s no way I can go to a deserted island and not make content.

Dan – How do you deal with cyberbullies or rude people in your room? Skitty – Strangely enough, we don’t get a lot of rude people in my room. Here and there, but I know it’s not nearly as much as most rooms. I will mute someone who’s simply “annoying”, I will ban for 24 hours for someone who said something rude, and I will ban for life if you say something unbelievable offensive. Honestly, that’s not very often, but it happens.

Dan – What social media do you use how can your fans keep up with you and your career? My main social media is Twitter: @SkittyTV_ but I do also have Instagram: @SkittyTV and OnlyFans: onlyfans.com/skittytv, Of course, I have my own independent website which is my pride and joy: www.skitty.tv Thank you once again for taking the time out your busy schedule to answer our questions problem

Joey – I began my camming career on July 23rd, 2010. Which means I’m coming onto 9 years this year. Almost a decade! Wow, that sounds like a long ago when you say that out loud. Bender – What made you decide to become a live Cam performer? Joey – I had no aspirations to be in the adult industry. I was studying Photography at Parsons. It’s a wonderful university, one of the best for art, but it came with a hefty price. Tuition here was one of the highest of all of the USA. I had some scholarships, but not enough to cover all my costs, and I was not confident about taking out loans like most students were at the time. This was at the time, the worse of the recession, and I knew I had to get creative to figure out how I would be able to pay for my education and graduate without living my entire life a slave to my loans. I was living in NYC, which was a wonderful city that fueled my creativity. However, finding a job here, with millions of other hungry artists and students, was not an easy task. After being rejected for positions I wasn’t passionate about, I felt a sense of defeatism. It was then, my friend suggested I checked out a website called Myfreecams, in which she knew someone who worked there as a model. I come from a very conservative household after all, and I never saw myself as a woman who would be any good at it. But it piqued my curiosity, and with no prior research, I signed up. I don’t think I was serious about it at the time. Yet here I am nearly 9 years later! Bender- Can you tell us how your family and friends felt about your decision to become a live webcam performer? Joey – My family as I mentioned is very conservative and had big plans for me to succeed in law or medicine. However, when I chose art school, I had already broken that dream they had for me. So, in many ways, it almost prepared them to just accept me as I am. I’d always been the more rebellious child amongst my siblings. I got in quite a lot of trouble growing up. So, like everything else I’ve done that went against my family’s wishes, I did it without their knowledge or consent. As an art student, I shot landscapes until I became a camgirl. It was then, I turned my camera onto myself and began shooting nude self-portraiture. I did show these photographs to my mother. I also began dancing in burlesque clubs, in which she’s attended and watched me strip down to nothing. I think as a woman, she understood my work and saw the empowerment I felt creating art and expressing myself through my body. Because cam was just another art medium for me, like dance, and like photography, I think it made it easier for her to accept that too. At this point, I think my family recognizes that I am an adult now, and I think they see me living out my dreams, traveling the world, creating and sharing my art, and while my father may wish I was doing other things, they both accept me fully. They know after having me for so many years, that telling me what to do had never worked out anyhow. Bender – Is there anyone special in your life? Joey – Of course! Well… admittedly, I didn’t have many, if any friends, before camming. Even in university, I didn’t try to make any friends. It’s crazy, right? I used to be reserved. A loner. I think in many ways it helped fuel my creativity, and I enjoyed being in my thoughts. I did everything on my own. I think it’s also why I began to become so drawn to live streaming. It helped me come out of my shell, a bit. The people who visit me on cam, these are real people I’ve known and who’s known me for years. Many of them watched me graduate. I live-streamed it so that they can attend. While many might refer to them as fans, they are some of my best friends to me. Right now, all the special people in my life are all people I’ve come to know through live streaming. My best friends are my soul sisters, and they are all camgirls! I’ve met everyone in different parts of the world while traveling. When I was in Thailand, I met a production team that shot for some of the leading companies in adult and had the amazing opportunity to work with them. The producer Paul Hamilton brought me under his wing as a camerawoman and a director. I learned so much about professional film making from them, which I’ve brought into my work. They became almost like a porn family to me and we are very close. And while I am still shy, this industry has helped me come a long way. I am so grateful for the people who’s entered my life. It’s crazy to think that I wouldn’t have met any of these amazing souls if I hadn’t become a camgirl. This industry is a community of like-minded and amazing people. Bender- Can you tell us what you did before becoming a live webcam performer? Joey – I was your typical “starving artist”. I shot self-portraiture and showed my work in art galleries around NYC. I always had big ideas and wanted to create art that started a dialogue about sexuality, and the naked body. I think these areRead More »Bender Cain Interviews Joey Kim

Bender- Can you tell us what you did before becoming a live webcam performer? Joey – I was your typical “starving artist”. I shot self-portraiture and showed my work in art galleries around NYC. I always had big ideas and wanted to create art that started a dialogue about sexuality, and the naked body. I think these are topics that people were afraid to speak about. I think webcam performing helped fueled that part of me and complimented what I was already doing.

Bender- What do you like most about being in life webcam performer? Joey – This is a hard question. Mostly because I wouldn’t be who I am today, if not for camming. I’ve made some big achievements throughout my journey. I’m completely independent. I work for myself. I get to call the shots. And I get to work from anywhere. This has enabled me to begin traveling the world nomadically. I decided, “Why to limit myself to the same four walls?” So, I said “fuck, it”, and I packed my bags, left for Asia, and from there, I didn’t come back home. Now I live out of my suitcase 11 months a year seeking out beautiful places I feel pulled towards, and I go there to capture it and create beautiful performances, scenes, and live streams. (Hah I kind of like how that rhymed) If you were to tell me 10 years ago that this is what I would be doing, I’d think you were lying.

Bender- What do you like the least about being a live webcam performer? Joey – When I’m in Europe, I must wake up at like 3 am to get ready to begin streaming to catch the sunrise for my mainly US viewers! I am not an early bird, and it takes a lot of will power. But I am very critical about giving my viewers a visually captivating experience. So, when I’m in Europe, I always want them to get the chance to watch the show go from dark to sunrise.

Bender- What would you say a typical day. For you is like on cam? Joey – Cam is very unpredictable. The day usually unfolds differently depending on who is in the room and what is happening. For instance, the shows, stripteases, dances, and even more erotic shows are completely crowd fulfilled by tips and completing goals. The more goals we complete the more erotic the shows become! I am always trying to find creative ways to change up the shows every time I stream. I travel often, so with traveling, you will always find me in a different location every time you tune in. Most days, you will be able to see a stunning sunrise, and we try to complete our goals right as the sun comes up, so that everyone can enjoy a beautiful performance in front of the rising sun.

Bender- How do you spend your days when you’re not on cam how do you relax and unwind? Joey – Sometimes I feel like I am never really on a break-even when I am not online. My entire life has become my work and live streaming. When I am not on cam, I am shooting videos, and photo sets, or editing videos for my site, joeykim.tv

I enjoy yoga and dance. It’s wonderful because I learn how to move in ways that are beautiful to watch, and I find that this not just helps me relax, but also helps me condition my body for when I am on cam or shooting. I guess I don’t ever really relax. But I love what I do, so I guess it’s not working I mind doing. It’s become my everyday life.

Bender- Now Joey you are a true pioneer in the live webcam community the content you create has evolved well beyond just something sexual into something that can only be described as a cross between sensual burlesque and Circus Soleil how did this Evolution happen? Ha-ha Wow, a true pioneer? Can I get a recording of you saying that so I can save it as my ringtone?

All jokes aside, thank you very much for your kind words. It’s nearly impossible not to let your real-life personality bleed into camming. I only began to dance professionally after camming. Camming built up the confidence I needed to start dancing. I became so passionate about it, it was all I thought about, it was all I wanted to do. Camming gave me my very own stage to express myself. And just like everything else that I loved doing, photography, video, and performance, it all bled into my work as a cam artist. To me, it’s all the same thing in different but very similar mediums.

Bender – So, Joey can you tell us how you incorporated your aerial skills into your life cam performances? Joey – I had always been creative in my live streaming shows. With overlays, with shadows, and various lighting effects. So, in a sense, I’d always been very performative during my shows. I found aerial dance to be very erotic, so as I began practicing, I created an aerial striptease performance act for my live cam show. The funny back story about this aerial act… A producer caught on to it when he saw my performance on YouTube and signed me as a dancer. The video was a recording of my live cam show. I never thought that I would now be touring, performing the act all over the world.

Bender- Joey you are a self-described Globetrotter a real travel Junkie you have performed on cam and some of the most amazing places around the world shooting underwater what would you say your most difficult Livestream on cam has been as a performance artist? Joey – You named it! My most difficult live stream was figuring out a way to live stream underwater. I always have these visions for shows, and I can never take no for an answer. So, I had this idea to do a while striptease and live-streamed show underwater. My very first version of this was trying to stick a webcam in an underwater casing. Let just say, I broke a lot of webcams before I came to the solution I have now. But it was worth it because it’s probably one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring live performances I’ve created and I’m very proud of it.

Bender- What would you say your favorite city or country that you have visited in your travels? Joey – This is a tough one… Every city has left me with so many stories and shaped me in a big way. But I would say that Thailand has a special spot in my heart. It is where I performed my first international performance at a festival at sunrise. I can never forget that moment. It was so awe-inspiring. I had a moment where I realized I was living a dream. That I was free. And I’ve never let that feeling leave me.

Bender – You have a Penthouse Magazine twice addition to being covered in Huffington Post, AVN, XBIZ, TimeOut NY and Now CamLife Magazine what is it like to be recognized for your work as a live webcam performer? Joey – It’s a dream come true! A lot of times people view camming as the amateur side of the business. But I never accepted that title for myself. I don’t strive for recognition. I just want to create something extraordinary. I want to constantly be improving and I want to share something unique. I guess people began to take notice and I’m grateful for that. It makes me feel like I am going on the right path. But really, I just put my heart and soul into my work, and I enjoy my craft.

Bender – We hear at CamLife believe the live webcam industry is more than a billion-dollar business it is a community of performers and entrepreneurs that truly want to help each other succeed not just financially putting life in general what are your thoughts on this? Joey – I find it so inspiring when women support and lift each other. As adult industry performers and entrepreneurs, we already face so many obstacles as a highly stigmatized group. Stealing, slander, and trying to bring each other down, is something we already have to deal with as adult industry performers, we really shouldn’t do this to each other. Sometimes it feels like we have the whole world trying to bring us down, and it’s counterproductive to bring each other down. With camming, it’s easy to feel isolated and alone. Granted, once you log off cam, you are physically alone, and drained. By drawing on support from one another, not just can we relate with one another better than anyone else, we can motivate one another, and propel each other forward further, instead of holding each other back. This is a highly competitive industry, but even competition can be friendly, and positive. I think it can be seen as a healthy way to motivate one another, and I do encourage all of us to do this.

Bender – Now Joey I know that you come from a conservative Asian upbringing, so my question is how has being a part of the live webcam community and being a performer helps you build confidence and helped you grow as your person? In my early years as a camgirl, I was one of the only non-nude models on MFC. It was what I was comfortable with at the time. Perhaps this made me a target for cyberbullying. Things got bad, and I fell into a deep depression. It was probably at the point of my lowest, where I had to let go of everything, I once believed in to reconstruct my confidence. I figured, if I no longer felt the shame, I felt from being a “slut”, this offensive language can no longer hurt me. In a sense, I had to leave behind everything I was raised to believe, and take ownership of my body, be proud of who I am, to regain my confidence.

Bender – What are your goals as a live webcam performer? Joey – I want to push the boundaries of live streaming, building the most innovative live streaming room. Constantly reinventing myself as a performer and entrepreneur. I want to travel the world and creating work to share the beauty of the world and sexuality.

Bender – What are your goals outside of the live webcam community? Joey – A lot of adult performers are in the industry to fulfill some other passion that they have. But that has never been me. Even in my passion to travel, I do it intending to stream in a beautiful place and create work I can share with others. Every goal I have is only to better myself as a performer, producer, and artist. And to better my industry in live streaming by constantly pushing the boundaries. Right now, I am deep in web designing and programming with my team to build the world’s most innovative and interactive live streaming site. And because it is built by my friends from live streaming, it is built behind the lens of a cam consumer, making user experience and interactivity our main focus.

Bender – Joey one of the things that impressed me the most is the Artistry that you bring to the live webcam community and its audience it is very refreshing myself being a huge fan of burlesque but I also equally impressed with the video and production quality of your work how do you put it all together? Joey – I am a one-woman band! It didn’t happen overnight. With my long experience in art and photography, dance, and porn production, camming is very much the marriage of all this knowledge put together. It’s taken me many years of research, trial and error, and experience within the industry that has got me to this point. I see my progression every year. If I didn’t, I’d probably feel like I am doing something wrong. I have this unquenchable curiosity, and it’s constantly pushing me to try new things.

Bender – Joey we also know that you’re have been involved in some charities can you tell us a little bit about your charity work? Joey – I don’t consider it “my” charity work. I always saw it as all my friends, the Family’s charity work, as none of it would be possible if not for the immense support and love within my community. People don’t realize that porn consumers can have some of the biggest hearts. For us, our fundraising nights not only benefit the charities, but it is deeply rewarding for us too. I feel deeply about several things that have affected my life, and the people I love and it’s deeply gratifying to know that my work enables me the ability to bring everyone together to do something empowering for all of us.

Bender – Obviously your work has evolved tremendously as a live cam performer and you seem to have your hand on the pulse of something unique so where you see the live webcam industry in the next 5 years? Joey – Live streaming is rapidly growing in popularity as it becomes increasingly more mainstream. I think this trend will continue and the industry will become more competitive. But I think this is a good thing. Along with living streaming, and camera technology becoming more advanced, it will challenge the industry as a whole, to start becoming more progressive.

Bender – What are your thoughts on VR? Joey – Camming had always been about sensory feedback. I pay very close attention to the quality of the auditory and visual experience I create. I believe VR will enable a whole new experience allowing the consumer to become even more immersed in the experience. If camming is about bringing your audience closer to the experience, VR technology is the future in enabling the viewer the ability to be physically within the environment, creating an even more immersive experience. I recently partnered up with Terpon to work on making high-quality VR accessible to the everyday live cam consumer. If you have yet to experience VR in high quality, it’s hard to express the immersion you can experience. Couple that with real-time live streaming technology, and you begin to imagine VR almost like a teleportation device, enabling viewers to enter my room physically.

Bender – How do you feel about new sex tech such as teledildonics? Joey – I believe that we truly crave an interactive experience. It is why live streaming is as big as it is. I think that is it that pushes the technology industry to come up with solutions to enable us to connect at a deeper level. Teledildonics connects with a sensory level of touch we had not to have before in live streaming, and I’m very curious to begin experimenting with it.

Bender – Would you say you’re a cat or a dog person? Joey – Despite growing up with dogs, I consider myself a lover of all living things. I am vegetarian, and it was a personal choice I made to decrease my environmental footprint, and because of my love of animals. Not many know this about me, as I find it makes people uncomfortable when I speak about it. I make friends with all kinds of animals when I travel! Cats, dogs, ducks, cows, goats, etc. I have a deep love for these pure creatures.

Bender – Do you have a favorite flavor of ice cream? Joey – I love raspberry sorbet and anything fruity!

Joey Kim
Joey Kim

Bender – If you had to spend a week alone on a desert island what three things would you bring with you? Joey – Is there WIFI in a said island? This is a very important factor because if so, I will need my laptop, a camera, and nice strong light.

Bender – What’s the craziest request you’ve ever gotten from a fan while on cam? Joey – There was once a guy who was very particular about rubbing soap on my body. It had to be specifically the DIAL brand.

Bender – Do you have any kind of set schedule for camming? Joey – I stream once a week, and typically on the weekends, but it does fluctuate if I am sick, traveling that day, or just needed some time for myself. It’s nice to have that kind of freedom.

Bender – Now Joey you are a very beautiful woman so how do you stay in such amazing shape besides your aerial and acrobatic routine? Joey – Oh, I’m blushing, thank you! I joke in my room that my work out routine is chasing my gate at the airport!

Otherwise, I like to dance and do yoga regularly. I am beginning a new safe for work yoga channel to share my journey with everyone! Perhaps you can join me, and you too will have a sexy Joey body. ha-ha

Bender – What advice would you give to someone new to the life webcam industry as a performer? Joey – There are tons of cam performers out there, and no one can guarantee that you’ll make a name for yourself. The truth is that it takes a lot of hard work and luck to climb up the ladder. You must come into this work with a love for it. Trying to get quick fame, or money will leave you disappointed

Secondly, allowing yourself to be vulnerable will bring with it, a slew of ignorance, and insecurity, and you must approach it with strength and confidence. You will get this from everyone-not only random strangers from the internet but from acquaintances, and relatives. The family will find out eventually. Be prepared for it. You may be outed, and you may have to endure criticism, and even get insulted, but always face it with grace and confidence. Protect yourself. Protect your safety, and value your privacy. No one is more important than your safety.

Lastly, be honest and real with yourself. Don’t just fall into being or doing something that you think will make you more successful or make you more popular. You must set your boundaries and stand your ground. Everyone will try to shape you to their ideal person, but you must be your ideal person, and let those who will come to love you, find you.

Bender – Joey I know that most of the fans in the live webcam industry are great and it is wonderful in your action but not always how do you deal with rude fans are cyberbullies? Joey – I love how you call them rude “fans” because it does take a strange obsession to find a thrill in bringing someone down. I never actually understood that mindset. I always remind myself that this person is hurting, and I sympathize with them. I don’t take it personally as I don’t know what’s happening in their personal life. I know that as a camgirl, people will constantly be unloading their stress in various ways, and I’ve learned to accept that and let it go. However, when it becomes malicious, for example, real-life stalking, or endangerment to my safety and privacy, I contact the authorities, I try to file a statement so that I know it’s there, and I keep my close friends close to me. It’s important to keep those you love close to you at times when you might be feeling vulnerable or afraid. Let them know what’s going on. Allow more love in your life to counteract any negativity that might come your way.

Bender – You have a massive Twitter following you’ve been featured in AVN penthouse on two separate occasions and many other Publications including CamLife now so so exactly do you handle all the day-to-day requests from media from fans Forum events etcetera? Joey – I am very particular about the brands I associate myself with, as I’ve learned from my years in this industry that not everyone has our best interest. I’ve declined many mainstream offers after doing my research, to protect myself and my brand. However, I am always open to collaborating with brands who I believe in, and who believe in me. I love my industry and I am so proud of my craft, so I am always happy to be highlighted in mainstream and adult industry publications.

Bender – How important would you say it is for live cam performer to generate multiple streams of income? Joey – It’s important to put your work out where new people might be able to find you. I always find platforms as a great opportunity to show your work to a new audience. If you can generate more income on a particular platform, I think it’s good to focus on that. It’s also important to allow yourself to generate a flow of income offline, either from video sales, or snap chat, etc. so you are not reliant only on camming, and you can allow yourself days to rest.

Bender – What award shows our industry expose and trade shows will you be attending this year? Joey – I typically attend shows where I am invited to speak or if I am a nominee. I try to support the shows who support my work. This year I attended the XBIZ show as a speaker, and the AVN Show as I was a nominee for Favorite Cam Girl. I recently attended The European Summit, and the Live Cam Awards, where I came home with an award for Most Innovative Cam Artist!

Bender – Being a live webcam performer has a lot to offer such as Financial Security, freedom to travel, and lots of other perks but it does not come easy it is a lot of hard work can you describe some of the obstacles you’ve had to go overcome to get where you’re at today? Joey – A lot of my friends from camming has seen me go through a lot. I was cyberbullied heavily in my early camming years. At the time, I was not prepared for such hateful energy directed at me. I was physically stalked, got sent threats to my phone number and I even had hateful things graffiti on walls by my house. Along with this, police, and other authorities, I contacted did not take me seriously because I had admitted to being a camgirl. They would say things like “Well, look at what you do for a living.” and “What did you expect?” It was at a time I feared for my life, and I felt I had no one to turn to.

The biggest obstacle I’ve faced with camming thus far has been facing the stigma that comes with my work, first hand. I felt so alone, in an already isolating industry. But I am proud to say that I’ve come out of this with so much resilience, and all of this has made me a much stronger woman today.

Bender – Can you tell us a little bit about your website? Joey – JoeyKim.tv came about when I began to grow as a live streamer and artist, and I felt the platforms I was on, was not growing with me. So, I took it into my own hands to build my platform. I stream in full 1080p, or 4k depending on the user’s internet speed. Joeykim.tv is built completely by JKTV fans, for JKTV fans! I think this is truly what makes it so unique. It is built from the ground up with love, from cam lovers, for cam lovers. No one can truly understand what they want more from a cam site than the cam consumer themselves, and I’ve learned that my audience is full of incredibly tech-savvy, and intelligent people, who were more than happy to be a part of this project. And there is no one else I’d rather have to build our home together. It’s a live streaming website that takes advantage of all the most innovative technologies. We are currently revamping the website completely to build the most innovative live streaming site, enabling the audience with more interactive capabilities to affect the show. JoeyKim.tv is the result of all our blood sweat and tears. All my videos are there allowing my audience a place to come and enjoy all of it for the lowest price possible. It’s truly a place where I consider our home on the internet.

Bender – Now you have even work in the production side of the adult film industry can you tell us a little bit about that? Joey – I learned so much from producing films for other companies. Allowing myself to be behind the camera allowed me to learn how to improve my work from the backend. Porn production is an art and I am so grateful that my porn family brought me under their wing and believed in my vision because it’s helped me grow so much in my work. Producing a scene is about telling erotic stories through imagery and creating a masterpiece. A lot of people imagine working in porn is a dream job, but all that glitters is not gold, and many things are not how itis imagined by outsiders. Many of the biggest porn companies give producers a very low budget, resulting in underpaid talent, and production teams, for very hard labor. Pun intended!

Bender – How would you describe one of your life cam performances? Joey – Maybe better to ask someone from my cam room! I see them as a visual and audio interactive experience, of my self-expression in real-time.

Bender – Joey you have found your niche in the live webcam Community how important would you say it is for other live cam performers to set themselves apart and find their niche? Joey – It is so important to find what is unique about you, your personality, or your gifts and passions, and allow that to drive your brand. While cam artists may be influenced by other cam artists, and this may be apparent in their work this is not the same as simply copying. Copying is not creativity or inspiration. Copying is stealing one’s art. I found that not allowing yourself to steal one’s work means you must get creative to create something fresh. I truly consider camming an art medium, and you are not allowed to just repeat what someone else has come up with. This has no value and does not promote individuality and originality, which is the very essence of what sets you apart, in an oversaturated industry.

Bender – Now in addition to performing live on webcam you have off so performed live in front of a crowd can you tell us a little bit about this experience? Joey – While I still feel stage fright, similarly to how I feel right before I click the live stream button, I found it has brought me so much confidence as a performer. There is no greater feeling than hearing the audience gasp, when I do a scary trick, or clap and cheer at the end of my performance. I always related this to camming. It’s very similar to the feeling I get when I get tipped in my room!

Bender – Now, of course, the name of our magazine is cam life so how would you say life is a live webcam performer please change the way you see the world? Joey – I have learned to become a lot more open-minded. Not just about sexuality, but about everyone’s beliefs. I realized that sometimes I am not right about everything. I’ve also become a lot more sympathetic. I see everyone even behind their font and text, as human beings full of stories and emotions. I am curious about their desires, and interests, and who they are as a person. And I realize that everyone is just normal human beings like the rest of us.

Bender – As I said you have a massive Twitter and social media following what other social media do you use how can our readers keep up with you and your career? Joey – I try my best to stay in touch with everyone I hold close to my heart. Now that I’ve been camming for 8 years, I’ve built a lot of friendships and I try my best to let them know I appreciate them. Twitter and all my other social media platforms is a way for me to stay in touch with everyone. I do try my best and take time every day to respond to every message I receive.

Bender – Thank you once again, Joey, for taking the time out of your very busy schedule to sit down with us and our readers we wish you all the best. Joey – Thank you so much for having me. It is such an incredible honor to be able to sit down and speak with you. Thank you for allowing me to share my voice.

So Ella what did you do before you decided to become a live Cam model?- Ella, I lived in Italy! I owned and ran a horse riding stable in Tuscany for 6 years. Before that, I was a model and a catwalk model in London. Bender- So what made you choose a career as a live webcam performer? Ella – had just moved back from Italy to the UK to be closer to my family. A friend, who at the time was a cam model, mentioned I might be good at it. Turns out she was right! I’ve always been an extrovert and an exhibitionist, so the thought of entertaining the masses, via the web seemed like so much fun!  Bender – I understand that you were quite the world traveler growing up can you tell our readers about this? Ella –  Well I was born in Orlando Florida and then moved to the UK when I was8 years old. Hence why I have an English accent! I then went to school in Cambridge and remained in Cambridge till I decided to move to Italy at 18. I’ve traveled to most of Europe modeling and most states in the USA. Bender – How long have you been Camming? Ella –  I have been a Myfreecams model for 3 years!  [/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”3067″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text] Bender- Once again Ella thank you so much for taking the time to answer some questions for our readers. So Ella what did you do before you decided to become a live Cam model? Ella -I lived in Italy! I owned and ran a horse riding stable in Tuscany for 6 years. Before that, I was a model and a catwalk model in London. Bender- Ella like many live webcam performers you taken advantage of opportunities the many out there to generate multiple streams of income and scale your brand are you using tools like manyvids, and pornhub how important is using these other methods to generate income to your Independence as a live cam performer? Ella – It’s incredibly important to always diversify your income. The more pies you have your fingers in, the quicker you progress. I think of it like a house, and roads leading to your house. If you have one road you have limited traffic. The more roads you have, the more traffic can arrive at you. It does however mean a hell of a lot more work! Bender- We here at Cam Life Magazine believe that the live webcam industry is more than just a multibillion-dollar industry what a community of performers and entrepreneurs truly want each other to do well what are your thoughts on this? Ella – I’ve personally never really had a large group of friends. Then I found camming and the thousands of kind and open-minded humans that make up this community. We all deal with a lot of stigmas and unnecessary hate on a daily basis. It makes our community, of standing by each other and supporting each other, that much stronger. This is the most amazingly talented group of people I have ever met in my life and I’m proud to be a part of it. I believe that this industry is changing the world for the better by spreading love and educating the masses on stigma. Bender – Ella if you were going to Mentor someone new to the industry what three things would you advise them to grow as a brand? Ella- First and foremost, stick at it! Get into a routine and have set hours you log on every day. Be as present as you can be on all social media platforms at all times of the day in order to market yourself to all time zones. Secondly, work on yourself. It’s easy to look at more successful models and become resentful that you aren’t achieving that yet. Concentrate on falling in love with the game and your job. If you enjoy what you do, success will automatically follow.  Thirdly, network! I see a lot of models isolate themselves in fear of losing work to “competition”. I can’t stress enough that networking and talking/ sharing with other models will OPEN doors not close them. Bender – How important is social media for growing your brand? Ella – Very! 90% of new customers and income comes from my social media. It’s becoming increasingly more difficult for people in the adult entertainment industry to publicize their businesses on social media. Keep at it and use as many platforms as possible. Getting your image out is important and the more visible you are the better.   Bender – What social media do you use? Ella – I have Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and Snapchat premium. I also have only fans, MFC share, Manyvids, Porn hub, and Model Hub I post to. My Twitter and Instagram are @Ella_SilverMFC and my Snapchat is Ella-Silver. PornHub is just Ella Silver!   Bender –  Ella I know you attend a lot of events what is it like interacting with your fans in person? Ella – I adore meeting fans. I’ve only ever met amazing supportive fans and I wish I had more opportunities to. It’s wonderful to put a face to a user name!  Bender –  Of course, we know most of the fans in the live webcam Community are great but not everybody is well behaved so how can you deal with rude disrespectful fans who are cyberbullies on social media? Ella – Everyone deals with bullies differently. I tend to ignore them entirely. The more energy you give to people that enjoy inflicting pain the more they get off. I won’t give them that satisfaction. I also don’t believe that someone else opinion of me is myRead More »Bender Cain Interviews Ella Silver

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”3067″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]

Bender- Once again Ella thank you so much for taking the time to answer some questions for our readers.

I also don’t believe that someone else opinion of me is my reality. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I don’t have to agree with it.

Bender – I understand that you have a love for horses can you tell us a little bit about that? Ella – I’ve been horse riding for 25 years! It was my first love and taught me so much about life and hard work. I’m pretty good at it and miss itan awful lot as I don’t have time anymore. The goal is to be financially comfortable enough, I can afford to have a house and horses again.

Bender – If you had to spend a week alone on a desert island what three things would you bring with you? Ella – Assuming I had the basics to survive and shelter….. I’d probably take a book, stuff to draw with and a camera!

Bender – What are your goals within the live webcam industry as a performer? Ella – I’d quite like to win an MFC crown. I have some live shows I’d love to broadcast, like a fire show on the beach or cam at some cool destinations. I’d also like to become a top performer on Pornhub. I’ll achieve them all…. Just takes time and money!

Bender – Do you have any goals within the industry besides being a performer?  Ella – I’d really love to work for the company as a mediator between performers and the other side of the industry. I’m very good at networking and I love organizing events/ helping people achieve their goals I’d also really like to work with a company that provides support to sex workers. I’d like to help this community as it gave me so much and I want to give back.

Bender – What made you choose MyFreeCams as your platform? Ella – only knew of MFC through my friend who cammed on the site. Luckily it’s the best site for my style of camming!

Bender – What do you like most about being a part of the live webcam community? Ella – The open-minded individuals and love. The ability to be creative and monetize absolutely anything. The doors that it has opened for me and the places around the world it has taken me.

Bender – What do you like the least about the live webcam community?  Ella – The close-minded individuals. The public still very much looks down on our industry. It’s an uphill battle constantly to try and teach people that we love our job and that it’s liberating to be comfortable with our bodies. People are afraid of change and stigma and don’t really want to listen to what you have to say. Especially family in a lot of cases.

Bender – What sets your webcam show apart from other hand models? Ella – I don’t think my webcam shows are any better than any other model. There is a fetish/entertainer/model for everyone’s taste. My room is very lively and lots of joking around. Some people find it overwhelming! I put a lot of effort into my sexual shows too. I have a saddle with a dildo attached to it that I ride. I enjoy myself a lot and it shows!

Bender – Do you have a set schedule that you go by for camming? Ella – I am online every day at 9:30 PM GMT and I stay online as long as people are enjoying themselves and I’m making money.

Bender – How did you come up with your stage name?  Ella – Ella because its easy to remember and to type and Silver because I had silver hair at the time when I signed up!

Bender – Do you have any guilty pleasures? Fashion. I’m well known for my extra outfits. I like to look my best always and I adore keeping up with the latest trends without following them.

Bender – Okay so Ella what is on your Playlist? It’s so eclectic! When I’m driving I like to listen to EDM. If I’m relaxing at home and doing chores I listen to classical music and on cam, we listen to a lot of classic rock!

Bender – Do you have any other projects that you’d like to tell our readers about? Ella –  Not that I’m allowed to tell you about yet! Watch this space!

Bender – Can you tell us a little bit about your tattoos? Ella –  There isn’t much to tell. I’m rather spontaneous and all my tattoos I had the idea or saw the image and got them done immediately. They have no meaning to them other than I liked the images!

Bender – As you know Ella you are this issue’s cover model what was your reaction when you found out you were getting the cover even before the interview was finished pretty much guaranteed the cover what was your reaction? Ella – t’s an honor. I cannot wait to see it all put together. I can’t thank you enough and it’s been such a pleasure working with you. I feel incredibly special so thank you.

Catjira – It will be three years this August that I’ve been a full-time cam model!   Bender – What did you do before you became one of the world’s biggest live Cam performers in the world?  Catjira – I don’t feel as though I’m one of the biggest cam performers, I still have no idea what I’m doing and learn something new each day. Prior to camming full time, I was a full-time college student, I actually graduated with my Bachelors in business while I was camming full time. I’ve also previously worked with animals my whole life, I still continue to be on the side. I’m a certified dog groomer.  Bender-How did your family and friends feel about your decision to become a live Cam model? C atjira – Well I’m not the youngest cam model in the world, and I’ve accomplished a lot in my life already. My family and friends treat every decision of mine as my own and an adult decision, they’ve been supportive of everything I do in my life. I’m fortunate for that and to have family and friends be supportive of my adult work as well. It is just another accomplishment of mine to them, like graduating and other things. I’ve built an amazing fanbase, I run my own company and I dabble in more than just webcamming such as my modeling, cosplaying, film, and costume design as well. They’re super into the cosplay part!  Bender- Is there anyone special in your life? Catjira – es! It’s her and I just met her recently… I just adopted her from animal control and she’s a beautiful pitbull named Bisquick!  Bender – Your career really took off in a fairly short time. Did you ever find yourself getting overwhelmed with requests from fan’s and from colleagues and professionals within the live webcam community?  Catjira –I disagree, my career took so much time and effort and failure before I started seeing signs of what I consider success. I spent many months without being able to make a single cent, let alone get a viewer in my chat room.I realized whatever I was doing wasn’t working and did a constant trial and error. But I’m very good and not showing my failures because I don’t consider most things a failure, it’s a learning experience for me. I like turning lemons into lemonade during rough times. I never feel overwhelmed. I’m always super excited, flattered, and shocked to have any opportunity given to me.   Bender- What would you say the biggest challenges in your career have been so far?  Catjira-I think webcamming is one of the most difficult jobs I’ve had, period. It’s not just a job and if you treat it as such you won’t do well. It needs to be your life, well at least it is for me. Revolving my world around others is easy, what isn’t easy is doing well regardless. Camming is such a popular saturated market and luck can play a huge factor. The biggest challenge for me is not taking things so personally. When you have a slow night on cam it can really bring down your self-esteem, you start to question your appearance, personality, etc. I still struggle with that.  Bender-  You have a really strong social media following and a lot of it has to do with your cosplay and your amazing personality. How important are your followers and fans to you?  Catjira-I wouldn’t be able to cosplay, make adult films, or webcam if it wasn’t for them. They are the reason I am even able to do this interview. They’re everything Bender-  How do you deal with rude friends or cyberbullies? Catjira-They’re irrelevant to me in that I don’t let it get to me. If someone is pretending to be my friend I usually catch on pretty quick. There is a lot of underlying bullying in this industry, I learned that from the start. You either are aware of or get eaten. I’m aware and I don’t let it bother me. I’ll always help people in need and do my best to give people opportunities and help when I can, regardless of their intentions I know this industry is difficult and not everyone knows how to deal with it while treating others fairly. I don’t have rude friends. My circle is small and tight and most people don’t even know who it consists of.  Bender-So can you tell us a little bit about your costumes, what’s changed, how do you put them together? Are there any lessons that you have learned?  Catjira-Costumes, and cosplay is expensive. I’m always trying to make due with what I have with everything and I’ve learned to apply this to costumes as well. You don’t always need the biggest and most expensive thing, especially if you can take the time to make it. Sometimes I buy pieces, sometimes I use what I have, and sometimes I make it!  Bender- I’m sure you get a lot of fan requests for your cosplay. How do you deal with special fan requests?  Catjira- My business doesn’t revolve around requests. I rarely do customs and my fan base is built on this. So I don’t deal with it much. On special occasions, I do when I can. But this year I have branched out into other platforms and I’m making new fans across the web who aren’t used to the way in which I do content. I get a lot of requests and suggestions on places like Instagram and Reddit and I have been doing some fan service work and extending my characters beyond what I like and doing what my fans like. I get a lot of requests and suggestions on places like Instagram and Reddit and I have been doing some fan service work and extending my characters beyond what I like and doing what my fans like. However later this year I will be doing a character that is HUGELY requested and just so happens to be one of my favorite fictional characters ever. I am so ecstatic and flattered people even think I have the appearance to pull off this character and features just like them. I’m super excited people want to see this from me!

Bender- Do you have a most requested cosplay by your fans that you haven’t fulfilled yet?

Catjira-Yes! As mentioned above there is one that I get constantly and I will be doing it later this year. The costume is in the works right now!

Bender- What’s the longest amount of time you have spent putting together a costume?

Catjira-I’d say a few months. I am unable to sit down and dedicate a large chunk of time for days straight without doing anything else because I work on so many things so this is made across a span of time working on it a little bit each day. My Immortan Joe took a while and so did Lara Croft.

Bender-s there a method to your Madness as far as marketing your costumes and what are the different ways you use to monetize content video cam Etc to maximize your Revenue for your latest cosplay creation?

Catjira- I get this question a lot during interviews, haha. I don’t have a method. I just produce films with my cosplays usually and I am able to sell them on my cam site and adult content website. I love to edit and make trailers which I post on social media and that’s a way to market. But I also just really enjoy doing it.

Bender-You have previously Graced the cover of xbiz cam world and AVN’s Cam star magazine and now you are being featured on the cover of CamLife Magazine what is it like Grace the cover of all three major trade magazines for the live webcam community?

Catjira- I can’t believe I’ve had opportunities to do such things! It makes me feel way cooler than I actually am haha. I’m so flattered and honored anyone would want to work with me.

Bender-Of course, I’ve asked a lot about what year fans favorite cosplay costumes have been but what is your favorite?

Catjira-There’s a few for different reasons! I love my Immortan Joe because Mad Max Fury Road is one of my favorite movies! I love cosplaying Lara Croft because Tomb Raider is my favorite video game series! But I also love being Harley Quinn especially when I’m doing adult work, she gives me so much confidence!

Bender-You obviously have a great passion for cosplay and geek culture General so what is your favorite comic book title?

Catjira-  man most people don’t know this but I’m a HUGE Sheena Queen of the Jungle fan! I grew up around comics because my grandpa would make giant art pieces for comic conventions and I’d help him paint them. They were life-size wood cutouts from all different kinds of comic characters. But my favorite was always Sheena.

Bender- What game titles are you currently playing? Catjira, Right now I am not playing anything! I am currently waiting on Shadow of Tomb Raider to drop as well as the Last of Us Part II!

Bender-What is a typical day like for you when you are cam?

Catjira-I cam almost daily and do so at night, so my day time consists of a lot of adulting as well as incorporating my offline work. Usually when I cam I am not filming or making content so I will be planning out that content, putting packages together for my fans and viewers or making something for a content project, usually cosplay related

Bender- What is a typical day like for you when you’re not on cam?

Catjira – When I’m not camming and it’s not a day off it will be a filming day or content producing day. This usually starts super early in the morning between 5 am and 6 am if I’m location shooting sometimes earlier. Makeup takes me a while when I’m cosplaying sometimes 2-3 hours. I always have things set up the evening before because building sets can be a lot of work and I don’t want to sweat or get exhausted prior to shooting content and doing my makeup. After my makeup and wardrobe is completed I get to filming sometimes though filming can take a few days but afterward it’s typically the end of the day and I get to relax as a reward for myself. Regardless of what I’m doing I always try to remain contactable and interactive with my fans and friends on social media.

Bender- What do you like most about the live webcam community

Catjira-I love how the community allows you to connect with so many different people, opinions, beliefs, cultures, and ideas across the world. It’s one of my favorite things about the internet in general, but the webcam community allows a common interest.

Bender– What do you like least about being on cam?

Catjira- Not being able to eat, haha. I mean, you can eat but usually, viewer counts can go down and so does interaction because you’re more focused on your delicious meal than the people in your chatroom so I try to avoid it sometimes haha. But because I’m vegan I eat about 5 meals a day so it’s hard being in one place for so long and getting hungry sometimes.

Bender- Now, of course, you’ve attended some conventions and trade shows, you even won both an xbiz and AVN Awards. What was it like to be recognized for all the hard work you have put in?

Catjira- it’s kind of terrifying to go up on stage in front of hundreds of industry people. It would be one thing to do it in front of a lot of cam models you know and interact with but being on webcam I only interact with so many mainstream performers however I’m a huge porn fan so it’s kind of scary to be in front of all of them while accepting such an honor. It really is an honor though and I still can’t believe I won an AVN and Xbiz award, as well as an Xbiz CamAward it’s just so surreal and feels pretty good to be industry recognized for what I do.

Bender- We here at Cam Life Magazine believe her at Cam Life Magazine that the live webcam industry is more than just a business, it is a community. What are your thoughts on this?

Catjira- I think every interest and ideas have their own communities, just as gaming and cosplay do. So I’d have to agree! Adult streaming has its own community but it’s also-ran by multiple businesses.

Bender- What is the kinkiest request you’ve ever gotten from a fan?

Catjira-I’m super kinky myself compared to most normal people so most things others would consider kinky it just normal to me, so I really don’t know. I love pet play and bondage and all sorts of things. It’s just sexuality and expression of experience to me.

Bender- Do you have a favorite aphrodisiac?

Catjira – Not really because I’m vegan I have a lot of diet restrictions and most of which don’t arouse me when I eat or drink. Though I am a pretty big wino, something about having a glass full of wine and wearing lingerie makes me feel sexy

Bender – Do you have any guilty pleasures?

Catjira – I don’t feel guilty or embarrassed by my pleasures at all. Except for when I listen to Nickelback, haha.

Bender- What was your first day on cam like? Catjira- terrifying, confusing and fun! I was on myfreecams and there’s so much you need to know prior to streaming that I didn’t know. Such as a topic, and countdown, and shows, and generally how everything worked despite being a member prior to camming and watching other models for quite some time. Still, it was super exciting and I loved how I could chat with people from all over the world and be my sexual self.

Bender- What Advice would you give to someone just starting out on cam?

Catjira- Do your own research, which is what you’ll hear from most models. You won’t learn much from others but more so from your own trial and errors, failures and successes. Be yourself, it’s so much easier and better to build your fan base rather than trying to be someone else.

Bender- How can your fans keep up with you and your career and what social media do you use?

Catjira- All kinds! I use twitter first and foremost, for adult content and interaction you can follow me at twitter.Com/CatjiraTV. I post images on Instagram (instagram.com/OfficialCatjira) and Reddit (reddit.com/user/Catjira). I use snapchat for chatting and vlogging, I have a youtube channel but haven’t posted anything on it yet because I’m nervous.

Bender –Once again thank you so much for taking the time out of your very busy schedule to answer some questions for our readers. Catjira – Thank you for the opportunity! Cheers!

Drawing from an elaborate cast of characters made up of pop-culture heroines and villains from popular movies, books, comics, television shows, and video games, Catjira brings geek fantasies to life in ways that leave them spellbound, and hungry for more!

The talented chameleon has played everyone from Batgirl to Tiffany from Bride of Chucky to Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft to Game of Thrones’ Daenerys Targaryen to Star Wars Rey to Wonder Woman to Disney’s Snow White and Little Mermaid, and many more.

And, since gender is no real restriction to cosplay fantasy, she’s done her sexy, unforgettable take on plenty of male villains as well, including Immortan Joe from Mad Max, Freddy Krueger, and The Walking Dead’s Negan. She’s also played historical figures, as well as mythological ones.Catjira 3

Yet she is clear that she only chooses roles she enjoys and wants to bring to life, having only taken fan requests twice as contest win options. A fierce competitor on My Free Cams, her dedication and unapologetic commitment to detail have catapulted her to the top again and again.

Catjira launched her brand in just over three years. Starting out as a cam model on My Free Cams, the talented and dedicated performer didn’t even begin using cosplay in her shoots until the summer of 2016. In fact, she admits that she didn’t even realize that dressing up in costume as different characters and live streaming was called cosplay. For her, it was just a way to ‘open up more on camera and let fans in on her fantasy world.

Then came the nomination and win at the Cammy Awards for Cosplay Performer of the Year! Catjira was shocked but also honored. She continued doing what she loved and with the more support of the cam community and fans was able to up her game! Catjira 1

After that, the awards have seemed to flood in. She won the first-ever XBIZ Best Cosplay Cam Model award in 2017 as well as ALT Best Nerd Cam based on her cosplay shows. Next, she won AVN’s first-ever Cosplay Cammer award and was on Showtime. She also took home Cammy awards and alt awards again, as well as the cover of the October 2017 issue of XBIZ Cam World, and did a Q&A as their Cam Star of the Month the same month. Then she co-hosted the 2018 XBIZ Cam Awards the next year, where she won the 2018 XBIZ Web Star of the Year.

Throughout it all, she credits her fans as her inspiration. But it’s hard to overlook her raw talent for putting a sexy spin on our wildest, unspoken fantasies.  Catjira is the first to admit she hasn’t always picked the easiest or safest route. When it comes to her wardrobe choices,  The young cam star has previously revealed that, more often than not, her process involves working harder not smarter. Catjira plans out her costumes down to the last detail, often with the big Miss MFC competition in mind for that month, then set to work meticulously crafting her vision, making as much as she can by hand for that authentic feeling only a diehard fan would truly appreciate

The fans rightly lavish her with praise with every revelation. Still with each new success comes the pressure to top the last costume. Catjira uses that desire to motivate her to go bigger and more intense with each new character she brings to life, keeping the pressure on. But finishing the creation is only one step in the process. Next comes marketing.Catjira 4

When it comes to promoting her brand, Catjira leans on her skills using social media and her preferred camming network, My Free Cams. Catjira uses her love of film editing to get her audience hyped up. Though she’s been known to tease upcoming characters with Sheneak peek images, it’s her amazing trailers that have lured in legions of fanboys, and girls (forty percent of her fans are women). One look and you’ll see what the fuss is all about, and why fans are lining up begging for more.

Her influence and reach are impressive, whether on My Free Cams, Twitter, Instagram, Many Vids, or Patreon. Still, Catjira does her best to ignore the power she effortless wields, staying focused on her projects and avoiding politics. Her fans, who she credits as her inspiration, daily profess their love and complete devotion to her. Catjira is careful not to abuse this power, expressing gratitude to those who nominate her for awards and vote for her. She’s also quick to help others in the community.Catjira 5

While some people equate cosplay with easy success, Catjira explains it simply isn’t true. She advises other cammers that following trends are no substitute for doing what you love. When it comes to making it big in camming, her best words of wisdom are to do what you are passionate about and, in the words of the immortal bard, to they own self be true.

Bender – So, I was looking at your Twitter page and you have a unique fashion sense. Can you tell us a little bit about this? Aurora Sky – My fashion sense is derived from my childhood, the 90’s, and new fashion. You will either catch me dolled-up in a strappy lingerie set, in a pair of leggings or ripped jeans, with some geeky T-Shirt underneath. I secretly keep a note document on my phone with random poems I’ve written or thoughts I’ve had.I’m an amazing cook, in the future, I will be hopefully using camming as an avenue to pay for my culinary school to get my Red Seal as a chef. Once I get a place of my own, I’m going to be doing a lot of cooking shows on cam in the future. I get joy out of teaching people how to cook. I would love to one day own a food truck, I love seeing how my food brings others joy.

Bender -What inspires you? Aurora Sky – There is a lot that inspires me. Strong women, good friends, good hearts, kind acts, but let’s stick with current inspirations… Music: Nina Simone, D Rangers, Louis Armstrong. They’ve helped lift me up in the toughest of times and made me happy, peppy, and sexy while putting on my makeup before shooting content or going online.

Books: “The Sun and Her Flowers” by Rupi Kaur and “a beautiful composition of broken” by r.h. sin. In recent months I’ve found both of these books to be empowering to women, they’ve uplifted my spirit and made me feel stronger.

Bender – What is a typical day on cam like for you? Aurora Sky – A typical day on cam for me would be waking up, having my espresso, vitamins, and breakfast before going on social media to market myself. I might post some pictures, post stories to various social media outlets, and pose teasers or nudes to my private snapshot. Then there’s the shower, taking really good care of your face and body, then applying makeup and making sure your hair looks good. You typically have to spend a couple hours each day (on or off cam) promoting yourself on social media and saying when you’ll be on cam. Then I’ll go on cam, my regulars usually pop in right away. I like to plan some sort of game or activity while on cam. I’ve painted, I’ve read poetry, I’ve played video games, I’ve played connect 4 and Jenga, I have a chance draw and other ways to win prizes. There is a lot of work put into creating an incentive for tippers so your whole room can have fun! Typically, I’m on cam from 2-4 hours and even longer if we’re having extra fun.

Bender – What is a typical day for you like when you are not on cam? Aurora Sky – A typical day off cam consists of me waking up early, the same routine but faster, espresso, vitamins, breakfast, shower, then still going onto social media for about an hour to market myself. I may do my makeup before working my other job and plan an outfit for sexy photos or a video shoot later in the day. Typically, I just go to work, I work on average 6-10 hours in a day depending on how my scheduling for my other business is, then I come home, and either shower and get ready for another early day, or I clean up, fix my makeup and go online for a little while. Both involve another hour or so of social media and other platform marketing afterward as well.

Bender – Do you have a favorite aphrodisiac? Aurora Sky – My favorite aphrodisiac is olives. There’s nothing sexier to me than a glass of red wine with a selection of olives and other sexy goodies to eat while you’re enjoying wine.

Bender – Do you have any guilty pleasures? Aurora Sky – My guilty pleasures include: Listening to music late at night fantasizing about men I know in my real life I’ll never have…Macaroons Wine Diablo 2 or any MMO RPG

Bender – what social media do you use? Aurora Sky – Social Media? I’m glad you’ve asked! My Twitter, Snapchat, and Instagram are all the same: AuroraSkyMFC Make sure to add me on all three so you can get access to my chatroom, photos, and other fun content .
