Through the lens of Dana Marin

In this issue of CamLife Magazine, we thank a look through the lens of Dana Marin. Dana Marin is the house photographer for Models4Models, she discovered her passion for photography over 10 years ago and is now taking us and you are readers for a special look through the lens of her camera.

“I love the camera for about ten years, I understand it for about seven, I take pictures with which I am proud of about four and I always look for the perfect frame. Is there a perfect setting? I do not know for sure, but I am convinced that there is the perfect subject, the immeasurable emotion, the pure memory. The perfect setting is what will have been a story because the moment is ephemeral, the beautiful is eternal.

I love natural, I love the simplicity and I love purity. This is my vision. In this way, I transpose the moment, the emotion, the beautiful. The color, the angle and the approach determine them according to the personality of the subject. I exploit the moment and speculate the sparkle.” – Dana Marin, M4M photographer. For a photoshoot to achieve its objective, to put the model on a pedestal and to show all its qualities, before triggering the first frame, together with the subject, establish the emotion that we want to convey and what the message is.. All this is possible only through a communication in the smallest detail and if we empathize with each other. Only if we are a team can we get one from the other energy we both need?

Beauty & fashion or erotic photography can convey exactly the message we want only if we capture natural beauty. Nothing should be forced or extra edited because we do not want the member to feel fooled. That would mean that in the long run, both the model and the studio will lose credibility. What’s more beautiful than natural?

Elegant lingerie, sensual look, perfect light, make up the ideal setting. And the ideal framework is only possible if I and the model communicate perfectly and form a team. Therefore, all the details are established before each meeting. What is the outfit of the model? What framework do we use? What is the attitude we are addressing, what is the message we want to convey? All these details are established so that, periodically, we do not repeat ourselves, and again the members of the models are always surprised and incited.

A photoshoot achieves 2 purposes. First of all, it is part of the model’s interaction with its members, and in the second plane, it represents a refresh of the model, a good opportunity to reinvent itself and to have self-confidence. Because every woman needs reconfirmation, to be told that she is beautiful and to feel beautiful. I trigger each frame with maximum passion and professionalism. I want every photo to raise it to the rank of art. Therefore, I would like for erotic photography, an essential part of this industry, to be appreciated at its true value. The photo is the one that attracts the click beyond which the model welcomes the new member.
